I have no where to go this Thanksgiving
My mother has decided to leave the country for the rest of the week to visit my grandparents. This just leaves my sister and I at home. I'd go to my other family member for thanksgiving but they all seem to be going to my aunt’s house in California City. Now I love my family but I am not going to drive for a few hours to see them. I was thinking of waiting for my uncle to hang out with me after work. Maybe go off to a strip club or something but then again, he is a very depressing individual. I could join some of my college buddies and their families for thanksgiving but I don’t want to be a burden. My final plan would be to go to Denny’s and have dinner with my sister. It would be a great time to bond together since we don’t get along...then again, we might just want to stay home and do nothing. She is a very boring child. Anyways I guess it will be fast food for me!

Well it looks like my sister is going to be joining the rest of the family at california city. That means I'm going to be on my own!

A few hours drive is too much to go spend a holiday with your family? If I had the money, I would be flying home for thanksgiving.
It is your own choice. |
go with your sister... spend the time in the car getting to know her.

A few bottles of wine and a 19yr old Thai hooker.
That's my only answer. |

I'm sorta in the same boat..no where to really go this holiday I don't want to be a burden on anyone, my mom is going to her boyfriends so....some friends are going to get together and play some football in the morning then I'll prob come home and watch some football with a few brews

Honestly, I think if it was so important to see family, people would do it more than during holidays. I say take the day off and just relax and enjoy yourself. Rent some movies, play video games, catch up on reading, workout, whatever you can do to relax, just do it.

There's nothing wrong with a few relative-free-holidays, especially if you're between the mandatory attendance years and deciding what you want to do. Think about what's important to you. Telephone them with short happy TG wishes. Do something entirely outside your normal pattern. Enjoy the time.
