photo radar
I have a few questions that I have on photo radar, that I googled and couldnt find an answer too.
1: if im driving in a different country (still in my car) will they send me a ticket? ie: from USA driving in Canada 2: ive heard that if you do get a ticket by mail, as long as it isnt delivered to you, you don't have to pay it. you could just say you never received it. thanks any comments will be appreciated! PS: I never know what forum to put my posts in. hope this is right. |
If you are worth chasing down, then yes, you will eventually get the ticket.
As for international stuff, there are agreements between the US and Canada that allow for municipal police to transfer the misdemeanor (Summary offence in Canada) charge to the local authority for action. If you got lost in the system, count yourself lucky... and I would not recommend you go back there any time soon! My one (and only) speeding ticket in my life was from a Military Cop on a base in Manitoba. I was doing 35kmph in a 30 zone. Actually, the sign said 50, but "He clocked me before I hit the sign..." Anyhoo, I told him to "Fuck Off", and I threw out the ticket. I then proceeded to leave the province. When I returned, the ticket was gone and no record existed. |
Well actually I live in Canada, im a student here.
I just drive a car w/ US plates on it, b/c it is cheaper for insurance, and I understand that I can since im only here as a student. I understand that if they want to get me they will, but over a $100 or so ticket do you really think they would spend extra resources to go after me? |
