Jordan Capri quits!
 

...not sure if this is the right spot too post (mods can move).....but apparently Jordan Capri calls it quits. I've enjoyed her work on here many times.....and can't help but feel a little disappointed that there will be no new material of her.

She quit the porn and now she goes to community college and wants to get to know Jesus better and is not too fond of her time spent in front of the camera. She sounds like a naive girl who did not expect to get famous and then got embarrassed about it. Now she is on a spiritual journey and wants to help people and maybe do something like join the Peace Corp. In her blog entry for August 31 she sounds depressed about working two jobs and being poor and exausted and wondering how she will ever pay her debt. I'm reading this and a light bulb goes on over my head, I'm like "I know!, I know!, I know how she can make some money!" But then I read her thoughts on her past experience so I guess she wouldn't want to hear it.

Here is what she has to say about her time in softcore:
"It started out as a once in a while thing & then I was duped into signing a contract. I was completely taken advantage of (I feel) based on my age & ability to be easily influnenced & lack of ability of good judgement. Promises from people who acted liked they cared for me, but really wanted me to make them money and didin't give an F about me. I became locked into affiliation with a completely negative, evil industry."

I'm sorry she had a bad experience. I'm not sure the Peace Corp would be right for her. If she wants to help people maybe she could be a nurse. I can see that... yeah. Nurse Jordan... I mean Lori. Well anyway, good luck to her

oh no!! that kinda sucks for us but if she doesnt feel right doing it then she is doing the right thing.

she will be missed, and I am sorry she feels she had a negative experience.

She was hot, but it's probably for the best just in regards to her own lifestyle and what she wants to do. Good for her for standing behind her own new found morals and all and making something of herself that she wants to be.

This makes me really happy, actually. I mean, sure, on a personal level it's sorta dissapointing I didn't get to see any hardcore stuff from her; but that sort of path has been tread with many pornstars, and in the end it's pretty dissapointing. (sophie?)

Heh, I'm happy for her. Some people enjoy being in the industry, but she didn't, and I'm glad that she's doing what she feels is right. Still, the pornhound in me feels a little sad.

She got quite a life experience out of it, and learned a lesson about people and their intentions.

I'm sure she's not the only young woman in the porn industry who feels that way and perhaps doesnt think she's got a way out of it. You probably become hooked on the money, and it's alittle tough to make that kind of money bagging groceries at walmart.

The industry itself seems kind of sad, there are a lot of very young women, who really don't have the life experience to make the kind of decisions that they are making, amd some are making bad decisions, not realizing the ramifications of it. but yet, the porn industry doesn't have a lot of market for 35 year old women.

the only thing that I am really interested in seeing now, is how she adjusts to the 'regular' world. I'm am sure she gets recognized alot...its got to be tough trying to have a 9-5 job or grocery shopping when you have guys snickering at you as you walk by....I hope she can stick with it, and not fall off the wagon

Nah. This is a little like Jenna Jameson bowing out of the pornography industry. She's a big face, a big name, and people know her. Same goes with Jordan.

Doubt it. I recognize the name from the TB but don't really recall ever seeing anything that makes her stand out in my mind. She could be in the room with me right now I guess and I wouldn't recognize her.

I don't know about a lot of people, but for me it kind of makes me think about all the claims that pornography exploits women. Nope, never heard of her....but her story's been told a thousand times...girl wants fame, girl gets 'discovered' and 'taken advantage of' by porn kings, girl gets smart, but bitter, finds religion (or sobers up).

I can't help but feel spiteful that her stupidity and desire for easy money have led to something that will forever haunt her. I don't remember paying particular attention to her on my many Internet porn excursions, but this news will cause me to spank one out, just because she quit and found Jesus.

I also feel a bit of gleeful spite when porn stars get HIV infections. It's really strange, considering that I have nothing against pornography and in fact, I enjoy it quite a bit. Hypocrisy, perhaps?

She was 18 (very young/lacking life experience) and had an opportunity to make lots of money. I guess she needed a good lawyer.

I don't see pornography as exploitive so I don't have a lot of sympathy there. Yes you can be exploited in the porn industry, like you can in any industry, and the stigma of being in porn can follow you forever, but I see nothing wrong with it in itself.

Meh, I'm glad she got out of the porn industry, but I don't really feel bad for her. I have seen her naked too many times to feel sorry for her.

It is weird seeing her on myspace. Suddenly she seems more human. I feel weird about that. Suddenly I feel like I have been viewing women the wrong way. Truthfully, I do feel bad for her. It's going to be interesting to see how she handles this. I'm guessing from reading her blog that she didn't do movies, but posed on the internet, and I'm betting that she doesn't own the rights to those pics, so they will be out there for a looong time. It use to be the only way to see porn was to go to that little room in the back of the video store, but with the internet the access is way easy. It'll be much easier for her to be recognized, than if she did DVD's or movies.
