I have to give credit where it's due and admit that I stole it from Something Awful (Thanks, Lowtax.) I saw the thread, and I immediately knew that the proper response would be to load that up somewhere that wouldn't waste bandwidth and post it.

threres a bug or defect somewhere in vbulletin, at my one forum i surf at the same thing was happening, it wasn't recording views at all, then the admins did something and it started working again...
