Parole violator caught on camera kissing girlfriend
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Associated Press

CINCINNATI-- A wanted man was arrested after his parole officer spotted him kissing his girlfriend in a live crowd shot displayed on the scoreboard at a Cincinnati Reds game.

David Horton and his parole officer both attended the May 7 game when the smooching couple were caught by the ``Kiss Cam'' at Great American Ball Park.

The parole officer and a police officer arrested Horton, 24, in his front row seat.

"Out of all the coincidences, we had 20- or 30-thousand people at the ballpark and who do they put on the 'Kiss Cam'? And then, who is there but his parole officer?" said Richard Goldberg, Horton's attorney.

Horton, of Cincinnati, was convicted of felonious assault in 1999 for stabbing two men. He was granted release after serving two years of a four-year prison sentence.

Horton had been arrested March 27 and was indicted for trafficking and possession of cocaine. He is accused of failing to appear in court on those charges.

If convicted, he could face up to 18 years in prison.

Hee hee hee.

This got me thinking. If there is an arrest warrant with my name on it, and I really wasn't gonna show for court, where would I go?

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't go to the ballgame - but then again there is the safety in numbers thing. And they do have a new stadium in Cinci - hey - How did this snot get front-row seats?

Canada is too cold.

So my question is:
You have a warrant and you aren't about to appear in court. Would you pull a Scott Peterson - hair dyed, pockets of cash, mad dash thing? Do you have someone who would harbor you - a felony? Or would you just go to the ballgame and use your front-row seats?

Living is affordable in Mexico and the central and southern parts of this American land mass. Do as zfOenix says and estudio espanol.

If you've got the financial resources then the entire world is your oyster - but stay away from public places until the plastic surgery has healed.

I'd move to Tibet and become a Monk.

I'd move somewhere just like where I live now..nobody gives a damn about this place.. or the people in it

Depends on the crime's severity, and how much publicity.

I might head off to the US (I am in Europe) or join the French Foreign Legion.

If that didnt work, well, I guess sometimes the best place to hide is in plain sight.

Loup 05-31-2003 06:42 AM

You do the crime, you do the time :p
Usually "the time" is just a slap on the wrist these days though.

Nonetheless, I would boot it from that city from the vary least.

KeyserSoze 05-31-2003 07:23 AM

He'll probably try to sue the Reds now for putting him on camera.

:D

Me.....Well I would not be STUPID ENOUGH to stay in the same city.

MSD 05-31-2003 10:14 PM

I can't hide. I stand out in a crowd.

The FBI was just on supplying a blue print on how to disappear. You quit accessing any means of information that may leave a paper trail such as credit cards, checks etc. Break all ties with any acquaintances and live off the land.

I prefer getting a fake drivers license and establishing a new identity and maintain a low profile.

Snoogans 06-01-2003 10:02 AM

If I ever get into any trouble, I've know of a place. Can't really tell you where though...
