everyone...
vanishes off the face of the earth except for like one person in every city .... good thing or bad thing?
Obviously there would be no power, food shipments, etc. If this happened and the chances of you finding other people were slim, would you want to live, or die? |
I would live, and live well. I would be the man everyone went to find to be their leader!
Actually I would just survive, after all, I can hunt! I can garden! It would be cool. Except for no poon.... I take it back, I would want to die.... |
I forgot my own opinion:
I would live. My life so far has mostly only been spent under the opression of trying to earn money... I hate money. There's no reason I need to earn my living. I want to do what I want, when I want. If that means roaming an empty city discovering the places I was never allowed to go, I would. I would someday settle somewhere in the midwest and grow my own food. The only thing I would miss is stated in the above post. |
Read Steven Kings "The Stand". I have often thought what it would be like. Probably be a good thing. You would have most of material things we have today without all the problems. Nature could take over again.
|
I would not miss the computer one bit. Isn't that weird? I spend 80% of my day on one, and the only reason I use it is to escape, or get things done?
I think the world is over populated, things happen to fast, life demans things from people too quickly. I just want a house and a garden to tend to. One thing that shocks is me is that my grandparents have the abaility to sit down for two hours with a newspaper, some homemade breakfast, and enjoy the sunshine. I have not read a newspaper for news since elementary school assignments. I get my news from the net. You name it, I get it from the net. I dont really care if everyone vanished, all I am asking for is the ability to enjoy life at my own pace. All my worries stem from money... how weird. But, I could not really propose any alternative to money. Everything else seems too hard to control. Any ideas? |
Ill trade ya two chickens and a goose for that there swine viveleroi0...
actually, I like the barter economy, but in the end, money is easier. |
I'd go find a tank and subjugate all the nearby cities. Once I find out how to fire said tank, the 270 speeding traps fate is sealed.
|
I think I would do what they did on the one episode of The Family Guy where baby Stuey turns into a squid baby.... I would find a twinky factory and soon people will find me and elect me as mayor. Yes and that will only be the beggining MUHAHAHA.
But in all seriousness after I was done mourning the lost of family and love ones I would eventualy try to get on with myself and probably go find half the secrets our gov in the US hides from us. |
If "The Stand" is not to your liking,
Rent a great movie called, "Quiet Earth". It is about something along these lines :) |
eh well i wouldn't do much of anything besides die due to lack of medication.
be i a well abled man, i'd probably do one of three things: 1) go and become a hermit. 2) imediatly become a nomad and search for people 3) commit suicide. most likely #2 for a year then #3. if God left me alone like that i'd just.. i dunno. |
I would be sitting in a bunker with my concubines, laughing.
"YARR!!! TOLD YA YOU WOULD PAY ONE DAY! FOOLS!!!" |
I believe I would rather die. I am a people person. A lonely existence is not something I could see myself choosing.
I'll take life on the other side thank you. :D |
I would immeditaely search out other people. In a Ferrari.
|
I would definately live. Have a lot of fun too.
|
I'd be like the Burgess Meredith character on that episode of The Twilight Zone, who's down in the basement when the big one hits, everybody's wiped out, and now he has time and quiet he could ever want to sit and read all the books he loves, except..... he drops his glasses and they break into a million pieces.
It's not fair! It's not fair! |
Find Eve and start re-populating just as fast as I can; God help her.

I would, of course, have to teach myself how to fly a helicopter so I could look for people. |
Actually I'm quite familiar with that fantasy. I confess to being a "tree hugger" and when I was younger I used to wonder at times what the world would be like, if humankind would suddenly vanish and nature would take back its own.
To be honest its still a comforting thought. |
