Foreign Service Entrance Exam
Hi all,
Not sure if this is where this belong but I can't think of anywhere better. So I'll be taking the FSWE tomorrow in hopes of maybe getting a job with the foregin service. I looked through theri official study guide and found that I know almost nothing about the inner workings of American politics and economics but that I can handle management and english skills like it ain't no thang. What I'm wondering is if anyone here has taken the exam and could provide some insight on what to expect. I think I'll be applying for the consular position, if that helps.. Thanks in advance Tim

Good luck!
I took the test a few years ago. I didn't pass but I did get a high enough score to get invited back the following year. My wife did not get an invitation. We both would love to work overseas and it would be great to work for the state department. I have had many friends over the years working at embassies. There's really nothing to help one prepare for that test. I really cannot understand how they come up with those questions. good luck!
