What exactly did this man accomplish that makes him better or different than anyone else. He carried the imaginary friend and the slave mentality it perpetuates to his grave. Is there a question about being next to the creator and still as dead as anyone else.. all that hocus pocus for naught.

Well, for some reason, people keep bringing up how he is one of the people credited with helping end communism. He was a world class diplomat speaking 11 languages fluently, he was a brialliant philosopher, plus for some reason I think a moral leader of over 1 billion plus people has his work cut out for him. An activist for peace, being one of the most consistent and vocal objectors to armed conflict, read Iraq War. A major moral emphasis for him was social justice and how it relates to the third world. I dunno those are just a few things that come to mind on why this man was not your average bear.

But in all seriousness I am not sad at all at the passing of the pope - he was old and sick... That's what old people do, they die. There will be a new pope soon... So we can all move along, nothing to see here... And Quote:

Godspeed old man. From one Polack in stupid hat to another, you had a good run, even if we disagreed more often than not. (The absolute most respect I am willing to give him.)
Bring on Pope George-Ringo.
