STUNNING actress Jessica Alba says she is up for a one-night stand - as long as the man leaves the next morning.

The curvy 23-year-old, who was recently romantically linked to Hollywood hunk Mark Wahlberg, likes the idea of getting intimate with lots of different people because she loves experimenting in sex.

She told Cosmopolitan magazine: "I just wanted to see what it was like to be with different people. I don't think a girl's a slut if she enjoys sex.

"I could have a one-night stand, and I'm the kind of girl who looks over in the morning and is like, 'Do you really have to be here?' I don't need to cuddle and do all that stuff because I know what it is and I don't try to make it more.

"I feel like a lot of women try to make it into more, so they don't feel so bad about just wanting to have sex. I don't really have a problem with just wanting sex. Never have.

"Even when I was a virgin and wanted to marry the first guy who I slept with, I never passed any judgments about that. But now I'm done with dating around."

I think this sort of idea should be spread around more. Sex is a sharing, a growing closer. It feels great and I still don't understand why it's so obscene.

OK, so this story appeared in the Sun, not exactly a bastion of journalistic excellence, but why is this news exactly? Why is the sex lives of celebrities anyone's business?

I am of the belief that it's not. Unless, they put it out there. Which, it seems, Ms Alba has. If it's attention that she wants, it's attention that she's gonna get.

In this day and age, with diseases being what they are and with human nature being what it is... I'm inclined to agree.

So you have this gorgeous woman who says she wants you for one night only, she's going to get her thrills and send you on your way. Does that really happen for the average person outside of really bad porn movies.

My mind would go to the what if's -- What if she got pregnant, what if she had some sort of disease, what if she had some 250 pound marine in the closet ready to beat your head in... there are always strings.

It exists, couple summers ago my buddy introduced me to this nice lookin girl and the first night we were in bed together..We both agreed that what it was we had together was just sex and nothing more, We were sleeping with eachother for about 6 months. I liked it and she liked it..So it worked out good.

I'm probably the only guy in the world that finds her attitude a complete turn-off. Maybe I'm an unreconstructed neanderthal romantic, but for me, sexual intimacy is something I don't give up easily. Sex has awesome power between humans, and playing with it is like playing with fire. To just hand it out like candy, to look over at last night's partner and say 'you still here?' seems like a massive disrespect to me.

Know what? I don't even think she's that attractive, physically, and she's even less so now.

Y'know...that attitude is all great for fantasy...

But I'd like my bedroom romps to mean a little more than that.

I think I'm done with the "sex for sex-sake". I definitely want a relationship with hot sex. My personal experience is that good relationships can come out of something that was initially sexual. However, it seems that many, many women have this same attitude that Alba has -"thanks for the night now leave".

I'm not sure if there is a remedy. Perhaps if you were really good, she'd want you back for seconds and thirds... But then again, knowing the state of affairs, someone like Alba would "feel" like she was getting too attached and just replace the guy with someone else.

Man that would be like getting a hole in one but nobody there to witness it. Only you would know you had sex with her and since there are no "strings" attached she wouldn't be interested in dating you even for a short period of time so you'd have no proof.

seriously, sex without strings is no wmd - it really happens. i say it's the old facts of life thing "you take the good, you take the bad, you take 'em both and there you have..." Even if a one-night stand with a girl whom i find attractive, take miss alba for instance, wasn't *exactly* what i was looking for, i can't say i'd turn it down. edna st. millay and gathering rosebuds while ye may and all that. then, with the boost of confidence i'd have from a fresh night of the wiggle-in-the-middle, i'd go out and find a girl i could have something a little more substantial with, perhaps.

I find it strange how some people believe there is some sort of cap on love- that you have a limited quality to give out. If I read this wrong, by all means say so though.

If you wanted to date Alba, I would imagine you'd have to engage her emotionally as well as sexually. Have rapport, trust, etc. instead of just desire.

I have no cap on love, sexual or otherwise. That being said, I have no desire for another woman besides my wife currently. If I did, we would sit down and discuss it. Same if she wanted another man. Communication and openness is a great thing. I have not yet found a woman besides my wife who I would want to be intimate with. To say I'm picky would be putting it mildly.

From my personal experience with women (and some men for that matter) it's a lot easier to say "I enjoy no-strings sex" than it is to live the lifestyle.

It's like the line..."Well, I'll try anything once" Easy to say, but quite different when Mr. HottieAtTheBar goes full bondage and wants you to piss on him in his basement while he films it.

Not that I haven't seen men and women practice what they preach, but it certainly isn't as proliferate as we've been led to believe by articles like this.

If Ms. Alba is one of that breed, God bless her. It certainly is nice to hear (and imagine for that matter). Chances are though it's just another celebrity tid-bit designed to interest the already too interested celebrity worshipping public.

She knows the part of the population that really goes for her movies, for her stuff, so she says something like this, in the hopes of getting a rise out of them, for purely hormonal reasons, so her next film/series/... attracts enough of the hormonally crazed guys that lust after her. That's what they want to hear, and that's what they'll believe.

Doesn't even seem worth it to analyse or criticise, it's just there to attract attention.

It's like that female teen singer a while back that just had to keep getting the message across that she was a sex-addict. Nobody really minded her career, her singing, whatever, they just jumped on that quote and either loved it or tore it to pieces.
