Porn sites are sleazy little hustlers who have inventive ways to separate you from your money. Allot of people actually do not read the little notices that pop up on the screen. And the next thing you know, you’re being billed for a site you've never even been to.
It happen to me once. So now I'm very careful what I click on. |

contact the bank...they're counting on the victim being too shy to report being swindled by a pr0n site. but as long as they have the account info, they may take more money.

I love it when people say "Huh? Porn site? Wow, I'm shocked! I'd NEVER visit a porn site! That crrraaaaazyyy internet, always magically obtaining my name, e-mail address, and checking account/credit card information out of thin air and making embarrassing purchases on my behalf! Must be one of those viruses or spyware you hear so much about! By the way, how do you clear out that list of websites you visited lately? It's..umm..annoying to see all those...umm...news sites I visited over the past few days, you know."
I used to hear shit like that all the time when I did tech support for an ISP. It was refreshing when I'd actually get calls from people who were honest and said "Hey, I can't get <porn site> to show up, what's wrong?" or "How do I clear the porn sites out of my browser so they don't pop up in the list that drops down?" |
Some form of elaborate creditcard fraud? Or mabe a "friend" of the family playing little prank. Or maybe just a hoax from a dishonest pornsite.
His sisters email addy adds her ex/boyfriends to the list aswell. Opportunity and motive. The first thing they should do is go to the bank and try to get as much info as possible. Maybe even try and contact the pornsite and see if they have logged the IP that used to log in on that account and what IP was used during the inital purchase. Important stuff if it is someone other than the pornsite itself that is guilty. |
Or you know maybe it was the sister. Is she at least 14 or so?
Some girls like porn and maybe she's curious. Or maybe she did it to spite daddy. Just remember the whole magic on the internet it usually just bs to get out of something. |

Lol, reminds me of the time we somehow got a $500 phone bill for "sexy teen lolitas" hotline or something.

Sounds like maybe this is not the whole story on this issue!
Porn sites do not just randomly charge people... |
Yeah. Somebody knows a little more than they're letting on. :hmm:

Well my friends sister who lives at home still is about 30 years old, and his brother which is roughly the same age that live down the road comes over and borrows the internet, plus his other brother sometimes comes over to use the computer. They all have their own checking account, and nobody has ever done any online banking with that checking account. I try contaction the webmaster about that site.

It's one thing to get popups and spam from those sites but the credit information would have to manually put in.. maybe it was some free trial thing someone subscribed to for a month but had to put the information in and then it started renewing?

There are lots of ways this could have happened, but with that many people using the computer it would be tough to say. Somone probably did sign up for the free trial. That is a good way for the porn companies to get you suckered in since most people don't call back to cancel.
