seriously?? who thinks they could get away with selling pot flavored candy? i have to admit i would buy one to see what it tastes like.... but i still don't think it would be a good idea due to the large amounts of people who would be against it |
Man. I don't smoke it for the FLAVOR.
I smoke it to get HIGH! |
What is next? Simulated coke that you can snort? A kids crack pipe with realistic smell? LSD Valentines Day stickers. This is just wrong.
|
Wasn't this same thing done in the 70's when the candy cigarettes came out. They even had the gum ones that had powder in the wrapper that you could "puff out smoke". albeit it it wasn't marijuanna flavored, but its the same idea, its so the kids can think they are cool!
It still does not mean it is right though. I don't even think I would let my 4 yr old try it, unless it really tasted like shit. Then yeah I think I would, so that he would always associated marijuana with tasting like shit. It would most likely keep him off the stuff until he knew better. |
After RTFA, I submit this:
I don't like the taste of hemp. I don't like eating the peanut after a smokeout. The only purpose I have for hemp/weed is the durability of it as a fabric/rope, and the state of enormous well being I achieve when I ingest it's smoke. I can tell you that the major reason these sell is for novelty value. I wouldn't buy this candy for my kid, but if my kid wanted to try it, yeah sure, I'll let him. I bet it's waaaaaaaaaaaay better than all that artificial crap they sell now-a-days. |
The "drug culture" that Bill Perkins describes as unhealthy is one in which 75% of senior citizens agree with.
The "culture" that he describes involves a majority of Americans, in fact. 51% of respondents in an American survey said they have tried Marijuana at least once in their life. I don't want to turn this into a marijuana argument, but.... The fact is, if marijuana was legal, the legalization would eliminate the "unhealthy culture" that the media claims marijuana perpetuates. Thousands of drug dealers would be forced to live a life that didn't consist of crime, because their product would be legal. Since it would be legal, demand for the product would go up and prices would go down. People would stop stealing for drug money, because their product would be cheap enough to be purchased at a fraction of the previous cost. If people stopped stealing for drug money, our court system would have billions of dollars in breathing room, both because there would be far fewer theft cases brought to courts and because marijuana prosecution cases were eliminated. This surplus of extra tax money (and indeed, even more funds could be obtained by taxing marijuana) could be used to help finance the national debt, pay for healthcare of the poor and elderly, or anything else we could imagine. Sheesh, all of this controversy over a product with only 2 prominent negative side-effects. Most prescription medicines have more side-effects than that. |
those would be pretty gross, i totally wouldnt eat them
|
I dont know anyone who smokes for the taste of it!
I would try it though, just to see. |
my friend had a help lollipop a while back, tasted like stems nothing special.
who really cares if they sell weed flavored candy? you think a little kid is going to see one and go OH OH weed flavored candy ill be cool if i get this! its more like a novelty item that would sell at a place like spencers with theyre penis and boob gummies |
If this is an issue then they should consider pulling brownie mix off the market - I've been tampering with for years.
Any responsible adult can see that marijuana candy glamorizes the use of illiegal substances and makes atleast the thought of doing so that much more common place. This isn't a case for the legalization of marijuana (it'd take nothing short of a paradigm shift for that to happen) and more of a case where an objective point of view is needed. This candy is an extremely bad idea. |
Another fine example of how fucked up America is.

The idiot who gave this the OK has obviously tasted neither marijuana nor the candy, if the tastes really are similar.
