I havn't had full-on food poisoning yet... but I'm sure its gonna happen eventually. I'm not exactly 'picky' about what I ingest...
I have however managed campylobacter, and mesintericadenitis (sp?). The latter is like tonsilitis, but for your abdomen lining. It involves throwing up every half hour for a couple of days. If you recall what its like to (attempt to) throw up with nothing in your stomach, you know it quite awesomely painful, particularly after the twelfth or so time. Mmmmm. And hey, if the toilet-brush water helped, then good on you You could publish a self-help book: "Clavus' Unlikely Cures 101"

hehe, this reminds me of yesterday, only I had the same feelings for an entire day because it was caused by a nasty little virus. to make matters worse, I was on a roadtrip with my wife to indianapolis, so I didn't even have a nice shiny toilet bowl to get sick in, or a bathroom for privacy. Even worse, it was really cold outside, so when I got sick, I had to get out of the car on the side of the highway and freeze my ass or head off. Of course my car was not the most comfortable place to be in when violently ill, so I spent the 7 hour road trip tossing and turning in the passenger seat, while my wife attempted to drive my stick shift. Needless to say, I was ready to just open the door and jump out to my death, if I only had the strength to undo my seatbelt, let alone open the door myself!

Thankyou for sharing.
I do know the feeling of the toilet dance. My whole family did it when we went to visit a remote northern Canadian "resort" where the outhouses were uphill from the well. Unfortunately the implication of that never occured to us until the contaminated water got to us. I will be chuckling about the brush cup all day. Ewwww. Thanks
