I am starving...

Its thanksgiving. Every fast-food restaurant in the West Los Angeles area, including Beverly Hillls, have closed. Subway, Sensei, KOo KOo Roo, TAco Bell. AHHH!!!! I am starving and have nothing to eat but airline peanuts, rye bread, and stale milk! :| <--- I feel like charlie brown/.

djtestudo 11-25-2004 01:15 PM

Supermarket.

hotzot 11-25-2004 01:24 PM

K-mart is open here. Even the the grill.

Slavakion 11-25-2004 03:48 PM

Yeah, drop by Shaw's/Stop&Shop and pick up a loaf of bread and some peanut butter. Or bologna. Or... (insert cheap foodstuff here).

I'm sooo full. All of that turkey and mashed potatos made me sleepy.

thingstodo 11-25-2004 04:42 PM

I ate turkey and ham with the family this past weekend. We travel the week before or after Thanksgiving.

Today I made pepper steak with filet mignon and a potato/onion/kale dish that was great. Had coffe and a walnut tart for desert. A little single malt before cooking anf then a shiraz while cooking and with dinner.

I am still stuffed!

Sorry you are starving. I'm sure with a littel creativity you can come up with something. After all, there is someone out there that wants to turna buck. If not, hit a soup kitchen.

Mobo123 11-25-2004 10:04 PM

as others as have said, get to a market and buy a turkey. and then get my wife to cook it. :D We ate until we were stuffed. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.

Manic_Skafe 11-25-2004 10:24 PM

We've prepared so much food that all of it won't fit in the fridge - we'll be eating all of this for atleast another week.

Sorry about your situation. What about the places that are so immersed in their own culture that they don't celebrate American holidays like these? Surely there much be a Chinese restaurant somewhere near-by.

Not that I'm not sympathetic to your plight...but didn't you anticipate, or at least have an incling, that most restaurants, and supermarkets might be closed on Thanksgiving. You might have at least bought a sack or two of groceries yesterday, to kind of stock up.
As a last resort, there's always Denny's or Old Country Buffet.

Mobo123 11-25-2004 10:37 PM

we've got so much leftovers it's great. We got one of those fancy free range fresh turkeys. $43 for the bird. but, it was the best we have ever had. ALWAYS baste with one of those basters that look like a syringe. that way you can inject the butter and juice straight back into the bird.

yellowchef 11-25-2004 10:53 PM

uh denny's or the Chinese place.. and dont you have some supermarkets that are open with Delis(granted the Publix's around here arent open so theres nothing near me open) or some buffet place or a hotel restaurant.. most sit down restaurants are open.........

damn boy go get u some food.

pinkie 11-25-2004 11:02 PM

Poor thing... I've been eating turkey and pie all day. :(

Blackthorn 11-26-2004 06:57 AM

you could always take a tour up here to Canada if you're close enough. We are open for business today. And we love to have company.

omega2K4 11-26-2004 12:44 PM

KFC, Waffle House, and Ruby Tuesday were open, as were a few Chinese restaurants in my area.

onewolf 11-26-2004 07:35 PM

.Eat shit.

viejo gringo 11-26-2004 08:08 PM

We are the poorest county in the state of TEXAS, and there were plenty of places to go and eat today --FOR FREE___

Just use your head a little, and if you volenteer to help a little they will give you MORE than you can imagine to eat.....

don't depend on some one else to drop food in your mouth...
