Has anybody every used an online private investigator service?
a buddy of mine's wife , and no, it's not me, really , is cheating on him. He asked if i could do a search on this lowlife. He cant do it at home because his wife is more proficient with computers, cache info, history, etc, than he is.
There are so many on the web. Does anybody have any recommendations? |

Hire a real person. Any p2p network can give you a copy of one of those $30 programs that claim to make you an internet investigator. All they do is give you publically avialable, free information in a crappy interface that I could have made in Visual Basic in ten minutes.
I don't know what the real people who advertise online are like, but I'll bet that you can do a decent amount of research with public records |

I work for a P.I. and this is something we do. PM me if you're interested. The online services use real people, unless it's just a database search and what does that get you? Public records aren't going to prove that this woman is cheating on her husband - you need a sub rosa investigation.

I used one a few years ago to locate a high school classmate in order to invite him to a class reunion. The reunion committee was looking for him for several years. All we had was his name and the town he grew up in (no SS number).
The P.I. found him in a few days and since he didn't have a phone, gave me the number of two of his neighbors from his apartment building (in a city about 3000 miles away). This guy did not want to be found, LOL. The neighbor I talked to said he wanted to be left alone. I could hear him in the backround. I was impressed with the service and it only cost about $25. |
