NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Playboy.com debuted the "Women of McDonald's" feature Tuesday in which six employees from the fast-food king were chosen to pose nude for the online pictorial.

The spread is the culmination of a nationwide search that Playboy.com launched in September for the "sexiest burger babes" willing to shed a lot more than just their aprons.

The online publication of the adult men's magazine has previously run similar pictorials that seemingly aim to project a "lighter side" of corporate America. Earlier features include the women of Wal-Mart (Research), the world's largest retailer and of home improvement chain Home Depot (Research).

"I've heard about Playboy.com doing other 'Women of' pictorials so when I heard they were interested in employees from McDonald's, I knew I wanted to submit my photos. The experience of posing for Playboy has been exciting," Cristy Creighton, one of the feature's models who Playboy says works at a Louisville, Ky., outlet, said in a statement.

While the models may be up to the challenge, the companies they work for haven't exactly embraced the concept.

"We neither condone, nor encourage participating in this type of activity. It is inconsistent with our brand," McDonald's spokeswoman Anna Rozenich said in statement e-mailed to CNN/Money.

Wal-Mart's response last year was that the Playboy.com endeavor was "not a ballpark that Wal-Mart wants to play in."

John Thomas, editor of the Web site, said in an interview that despite the chilly corporate reactions, Playboy.com will continue to search for other unorthodox companies for upcoming spreads.

"We know for a fact that there are a lot of large companies out there that are very nervous about the prospect. We've already drawn up a short-list of who could be next," said Thomas.

"This 'Women' of feature actually started in the 1970s for the Playboy magazine. With the online effort, we've tried to put a populist and provocative spin on it by going into the heartland with Wal-Mart, Home Depot and now McDonald's," Thomas said. "You'd be surprised at how many of these women told us that they always wanted to approach us in the past but never had the opportunity."

According to Thomas, the McDonald's (Research) casting call elicited over 100 responses from employees. Playboy.com paid the models for the feature but did not disclose the amount.

Said Thomas, "These women are not CEOs of corporations but they made a nice piece of change with the feature. They were flown in to our headquarters in Chicago and all expenses were paid by us."

The pictorial, which is exclusively available on Playboy.com, apparently has the vote of approval from Playboy (Research) founder Hugh Hefner. "Mr. Hefner likes how the features have turned out and he has even selected some of the girls to be considered for the magazine," Thomas said.

I have to see this. I cant believe they are gonna have a girls of McDonalds pictorial. I just want to know why these girls aren't working near me!

I've seen them and ya know what...they look like NAKED WOMEN!!! :eek: I know....it's crazy but the women who work at McDonald's who get naked -- yup -- they actually look like naked women! Aint it great!!! ;)

what gives with every one of the mcdonald's girls being totally shaved? i'm not opposed to it, but are you telling me that out of all the girls that playboy could have used, they just happened to pick the 5 that are totally bald? i would like some variety. these pics make me think that it is either staged or they are told to shave it all off. what do ya'll think? do you care about the lack of variety or are you just happy that there are naked chics?

I think Playboy have run out of steam with all those plastic barbie dolls types...so now they have gone out in the real world and found the 'real' girls for us to oggle...Nice one guys :thumbsup: How about the local women wear/shoe shops...wow I see some crackin girls in there that I would love to see in the flesh!!!!

I'ave just been to my local Macdonalds...where are they...,these Playboy girls??? I would rather eat a BIG MAC naked in front of the mirror than see any of my local Macdonald's girls strip naked....its putting me off my food man...just thinking about it..

Mal, I think it's just the fact that you can find beautiful women in all parts of society. I guess in a way it shows that beauty does not mean you will do well and make a lot of money.

And on the topic of seeing hotties working at McD's, there are some cute youngin's at the one where I live. :)

Why? Girls that are cute in the face don't need to show off their skin to get attention. Once you get used to using your body to get attention, it's less of a jump to appear in Playboy or something similar.

Yes, yes it does. I have found myself always looking for people who are bound to underachieve their entire lives and live in debt and never be able to retire and live off of the government. Man, that is freakin' HOT!

McDonald's pays well above minimum wage. Yes, it is more appealing because she may be in more need of a sugar daddy.

However, I am not nearly old enough to qualify for sugar daddy. I might not have enough money either. I guess I like the nekkid part the best, and her job is irrelevant.

I guess I don't understand your statement. Are you saying, in effect, that anyone that has a "McJob" is destined to never aspire to anything beyond that? My first job was working the grill at McDonald's, back in...well, let's just say that we still wore the paper hats and leave it at that. Back then, we had a good number of "babes" working there. Good times...good times. None of us, that I am aware of, are still there. We moved on and built our lives.

Wow, talk about airbrushing. It looks like they used Photoshop to airbrush off a little extra meat off of this girl.

McDonalds or not, I don't find any of their faces attractive in the least....but I guess thats not the point anyway.

I remember a while back they had a voting poll over at Playboy's website for which country star they would proposition for playboy..had Shania, Faith, one a the Dixie Chicks n what not. Last time I checked it Shania was winning by a lot but I never kept up with it. What ever became of that?

Not much. Shania Twain won, of course, and Playboy again asked her to pose nude. And Shania again told them "no".

Playboy wanted Shania nude for their January 2000 Millenium issue, and reportedly offered her more money than they've ever offered any other female celeb. Playboy wanted to make it a huge event, and Shania reportedly considered posing, but she figured she would make more money from her career by retaining her somewhat "family-friendly" image. Her image is sexy, but alot of her fans are kids and parents, and Shania didn't want to possibly alienate that large part of her record-buying fanbase by posing nude.

Man, I know a lot of girls that I used to work with at McDonalds that could easily grace the cover of Playboy

I would like to see them. I worked at a McD's for to long and I would have liked to see some of my co-workers nude. I did see some of them nude but there were a lot more that i wanted to see. One that I wanted to see and saw in her bra and that was not bad.

Does it say anywhere that these women are serving food?
Or that all of them are? There are other jobs in the company.
Lots of departments. Does Playboy say what these gals do?

I expect they make no mention of their job titles.
