Hey, give me a break.

Over the past 24 hours I've passed through 3 time zones, gotten absoutely pissed twice, fell asleep in a public toilet and lost one shoe...

So I missed a day.

Just another day of serious drinking for me.

Maybe it's the Irish in me (hell, I'm 100% Irish), but the majority of my drinking now takes place at home; usually a few bottles of Heineken followed by a bottle or red or white wine depening upon the meal. However, when Mrs Mephisto and I go out, or more dangerously when I go out on my own, then I revert to my previous incarnation as a (stereo)typical Irishman who drinks and drinks and then forgets what day it is...

I've managed to lose A shoe before. Quite a long story that I'll save for later, since i'm sure there are or will be some good 'drunken stories' threads. But suffice to say there were few things more confusing in my life than waking up in the hallway of the wrong dorm, standing up, and realizing one of my shoes is completely gone while the other is still tied nicely to my foot.

And nice quote, I'm usually decent at shutting the hell up when i have nothing to say. Usually.

What a fitting place for that quote, Mephisto. Are you trying to tell us something?

By the way, I have an old pair of sneakers if you don't find that shoe!
