GakFace DO NOT READ PLEASE!

I just had to brag, I'm gonna be a daddy!!!!!!!!! :D but don't tell GakFace, I'm not tellin my family or friends just yet being that they may not approve (I'm not married... yet) but I had to tell someone, so I'm telling all of you. Sorry I haven't posted much this past month, I've been busy... ;) Oh, and we got engaged today as well :icare: so I'm so happy I could burst!

sadistikdreams 11-07-2004 09:33 PM

Oh. I was gonna say, why wouldn't you want somebody to read a public post?

Are you two related or something?

Oh and uh.

CONGRATULATIONS, BASMOQ!!!

basmoq 11-07-2004 09:45 PM

GakFace is a good friend, who knows many of my other friends...

skier 11-07-2004 09:53 PM

Congratulations basmoq!!!

I don't think there's a chance in hell that gakface won't read this thread.

Stiltzkin 11-07-2004 10:24 PM

Congratulations Basmoq! Your enthusiasm sounds sincere, I hope you make a great father!

And I like your signature. Is it original? I keep a text file with cool quotes in it, and if it's yours then I must know where credit is due. ^^

Fremen 11-07-2004 10:45 PM

Congratulations on both counts. :)

basmoq 11-08-2004 02:14 AM

I wish I could say it was completely origional, but although I had written something similar, this one is a slight modification of something a friend wrote. I've had this sig since before I got my fiance, so I guess it's about time to change it to one more appropriate for a not single guy, but I'll get to it eventually...

spindles 11-08-2004 02:21 AM

Congrats on both counts. Start getting extra sleep now - you will need it when the new addition comes along :)

basmoq 11-08-2004 02:40 AM

hehe, I think we will be ok, she made it through med school, and I'm a pre-med undergrad, so were both used to the lack of sleep, though I'm probably still in for a shocker... The wierd thing is going to be my staying at home with the baby while she is in her residency paying the bills, I NEVER imagined in my life that I would ever have to rely on another person for income. I've been on my own, without any support even from my parents, since I graduated high school, so I've always looked to myself for support. I'm going to have a bit of adjusting to do...

Reese 11-08-2004 04:03 AM

Basmoq, Think of her paycheck as payment for babysitting, Taking care of the house and baby can be harder than any other job, You two are in this together so don't think of it as relying on her because she's relying on you just as much.

btw, CONTRATS!

CinnamonGirl 11-08-2004 04:50 PM

hehehe...if I saw a thread that said "Cinn, don't read this!" ...I would SO read it.

*cough* So.... Congratulations...on the baby AND getting engaged! :)

Coppertop 11-08-2004 04:52 PM

Congratulations.

K-Wise 11-08-2004 05:22 PM

Not to offend you but, don't you think it's a lil messed up that you let the internet know this before your family and friends? I mean I understand your situation there. Well congratulations regardless man.

Asta!!

HockeyGuy 11-08-2004 06:31 PM

once again.. Gratz

KinkyKiwi 11-09-2004 08:09 AM

lol congrats :) but why didnt you tell your family and friends first?

Redlemon 11-09-2004 08:16 AM

I'm guessing that Mrs. Basmoq-to-be is still in her first trimester. There is a significant chance of problems during the first trimester, and therefore you don't tell most people that early. But, he's busting out to tell someone, so we're the friends he doesn't have to see face-to-face if something goes wrong.

And congrats!

VitaminH 11-09-2004 08:21 AM

Allow me to offer my congratulations as well mate.

basmoq 11-09-2004 04:31 PM

basmoq 11-11-2004 04:55 AM

We decided Cameron Alan (insert last name here)(we haven't decided what were changing our last names to, but I'm gonna loose my dad's last name, he was a bastard) if it's a boy, and "Mrs. Basmoq-to-be"(thanks redlemon) will get to decide on a girl's name!

KinkyKiwi 11-11-2004 01:39 PM

ohh thats so pretty!!

oblar 11-11-2004 04:33 PM

sorry for the late reading, but I didn't quite know what to make this post out to be due to the title so I left it alone for a while :) however, I wished to just say:

Congratulations on both counts!! It seems like you will be in for quite a ride these next few years (and I am not even considering the med school stuff *grin*)
