I still want to know what judge and or jury has sent anyone behind bars to be raped. Getting raped is something that happens, not something that is designed into the punishment. I agree, getting raped in jail is likey a very bad thing and the prospect of getting your ass probed by your cellmate should be taken into consideration before pulling a gun out and taking a couple hundred bucks off the old man at the liquor store.

I my opinoin, prison is already to cushy...you don't do much work, get fed, get a place to live, etc, so in my mind, anything that makes it more a detterent to prospective crimineals in deffinatly a good thing

Uhm yeah, most people do work while in jail/prison. You basically do all the jobs no one on the street would want to do, and you do it for free.

Loosing your friends, family, significant others. Loosing your freedom that’s the deterrent.

Telling someone they deserved to get raped because they made a bad judgment call and ended up in the system is just as bad as telling "Jane" she was asking for it when she wore a skirt in public.

Yea All the crazy "lifers" are in Federal Pens. Also county jails tend to be more isolated. The one in our county looks clean and new inmates have there own cells and they are in them for 24hours a day minus 3 meals and a common area time of 1 hour

So if people think rape is good punishment, why stop there? Why not let them murder each other? They deserve whatever they get for doing things like selling drugs.

One thing to keep in mind is that most folks in prisons will eventually be released. If you treat them like animals, that is what you will be releasing back into society.

The best advice I've gotten from a former inmate was "Never let anyone punk you." Even if you don't stand a chance, fight back, the guy isn't going to be looking for a fight; he's looking for somthing warm to put his dick in.

Jail isn't as bad as it sounds. Sure if you drop the soap it's an easy target. Remember some of these guys aren't going to see daylight so an ass is the only sex they are getting. If you know people on the inside nothings going to happen to you. Sure it happens at every prison. If you don't know anyone and don't know how to fight chances of you becoming someones "Bitch" is high. I know these things because a relative of mine has been in prison for 18 years. Now I have heard a lot of stories about stuff that happens. I been going to prisons most my life to visit and everything. Sure there is a lot of things that happens but depends the Jail/Prison you goto.

I feel sorry for people in jail who are innocent, but for the rest of them, I don't put too much thought into deterring this action. I just don't have a lot of sympathy for criminals.
