Crazy emergency call
Have a read of this...
Quote:
That kid is a) a hardass b) brave, cool minded, unbelievably level headed c) gonna have some serious issues I'm both disgusted by the story and amazed at his resilience. Way to go kid. Pity your father was such a dick. Mr Mephisto |
Wow, that sent chills up my spine.
I hope he ends up a b), but fear he will end up a c). |
that would creep me out to hear that kid.
|
Here's a link to the story
http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/...?oneclick=true Amazing, wow. I vote for C) as well. |
man thats crazy...
i beltsanded my fingernail off when i was a kid and was way calm like that... guess its just the way some people react to that kind of thing... |
"Can you please send the Army men or the ambulance?"
That's the line that got me. Chilling stuff. I know I would have screamed and shouted and generally done myself no favours at all. |

He is already A and B. I am afraid he is almost certainly going to be C as well.
Pity you can't choose your parents. |
Sometimes people go into a sort of dissociative shock in reaction to trauma. Poor kid - hope he gets help and DOES NOT get returned to his father.
|
that is so messed up. He could be scarred for life. Well, he is going to be scarred for life with the stab wound.......
but mentally, damn. I hope he can live with it. kind of like "A Boy Named Sue" by Johnny Cash where he got made fun of but it made him strong. Except it would be "A Boy Stabbed By His Father." Damn this version isn't nearly as funny |

I can't even imagine |
Wow. He's going to need therapy. Lots, and lots, of therapy. I guarantee he had no idea what he was saying, or what was happening. He was in shock, and tranced out.

Man, that is a freaky story. I can see the "made for TV" version coming out soon, after he appears on Oprah, Maury, and every other TV show that wants to capitalize on his courage. Sad.

all I have to say is... Good Luck kid. |
Nice to see the Dad pleaded innocent  . I would have to believe that he believes he's innocent by reason of insanity. None the less, it would be nice if the dad was erased from existence.
|
It kinda sounds like something out of a weird "horror" movie or something.
That kid is definately pretty cool for keeping a cool head. I wouldv'e most definately been freaking out or something. That has to be really traumatizing in the future. |
That kid is just amazing.

This took place only an hour away from where I live.
How sad, that poor little boy. :( |
I just heard the call on the news. The story wigged me out to read it but to hear the kids voice was just to much.
|
another day in the human race...

Optik_nerve: I agree, I just bought a cheap as DVD of "Creepshow" that I haven't seen in 15 or so years. This report reminds me of the stories I (think) remember from that movie. So unbelievable you can't possibly think they're true (not that "Creepshow" is, you just think it's plausible), and yet they are. Just like our soldiers receive purple hearts, I think little tiny kids, who have no adult concept of what they're doing, and yet behave heroically, should receive the same. They don't do what they do because they expect something for it, they do it because it's what they think is the right (maybe moral) thing to do.
