TFP SoCal Meet-up in December!
Hey peeps, I was thinking it may be time for another meet-up. The last one we had at Marina Del Ray was fairly small, but still enjoyable. We all just hung out at the beach, cooked food and talked for a while. Why not do it again?
This time, I'm thinking we should find some place inside because it'll probably be in December. I think Orange County is still the best choice for location because it seems to be central to everything 'SoCal' - anyone have any ideas? What do you think of one of these dates: Dec 4th (Sat) Dec 11th (Sat) Dec 18th (Sat) I wanna see everyone there. From San Diego to Ventura County (where I'm coming from) and everywhere in between.

I'm thinking I wish I could make it out there. Unfortunately work and distance kinda get in the way, but I'd be there if I could!

I know I'm being greedy with the meet-ups, having been to a few in NYC, but if there was one in the middle of January (say, the 14th-16th) I would totally be there. Unfortunately for me, this semester is holding me hostage until December 23rd.

Well we could wrangle up some peeps just for your arrival, Supple Cow. I'll have the dessert buffet table stocked. We can watch "Chocolat." We can play Candyland. I'll schedule it for Sundae... err.. Sunday.

the last day of finals week is the 15th.... so i'll be heading to bako on the 16th at the latest... possibly earlier... gotta double check when me and my friends finals are over...
if its happening on the 18th... i would definently be interested... especially if i could get a couple of the other bakersfieldians to share gas costs with... it is a bit of a cruise to that area from bako...

No ideas as to location. But if I'm not up north, we'll show up.

Missed the thread.
I think I can swing the first and third weekend. The one on the 11th I'll be in Mammoth. Another suggestion: how about a Thursday Happy Hour or something? So many times our weekends are spoken for (particularly in December) whereas the weekdays tend to be somewhat more free. Sorry to chime in so late. Missed the thread. Let me know where and when and I should be able to make it no problem. Oh yeah and Mobo123 - I'm 30 and most folks who showed up last time were "of age" so I think we will be fine there for the most part. Not 100% of the time, but the younger folks on the board tend to lurk more and "meet up" less. Hope that generalization doesn't step on too many toes.

Yep, the 18th would actually be preferred for me too now. I now have plans on the 11th, and obviously the 4th is too soon now.

Is this now a moot point due to Senor Hal's evacuation from California? Do we still want to meet up sans Hal?
