Man Accused Of Pouring Coffee On Child
Witnesses Say Man Was Angry That Girl's Soda Can Sprayed Him

A man has been arrested, accused of pouring coffee on a young girl at a farm in North Andover.

Witnesses told police the man -- identified as William Tracy, 62 -- became angry Sunday when the little girl accidentally sprayed him while opening a soda can.

The witnesses said Tracy turned and poured a cup of coffee on the child.

The girl -- believed to be about 3 or 4 years old, was not injured. She had been apple picking with her family at Smolak Farm.

Police did not release her name.

Tracy will be arraigned Tuesday on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
What a complete fucking asshole. I'm just glad that the girl wasn't injured, but for fuck sake, what piece of shit would actually "get revenge" on a 4 year old with hot coffee!? He could have done her some serious harm.

Squishor 10-12-2004 03:25 PM

Wow. That is absolutely shocking. It's sad to think what the incident has probably done to her psyche as well. I remember being that age, and grownups were like gods to me. If I were her, I'd have trust issues for a very long time.

Glory's Sun 10-12-2004 03:26 PM

that is pretty crazy. Sounds like he has some anger issues..

Coffee is a dangerous weapon? Dammit, does this mean I can't take my coffee thru airline security anymore...

That was my intent, sugar plum -- :)

That guy was a bastard, I mean its wrong to pour coffee on anyone but its even worse on a little kid. I think that the police where right to arrest him, but I dont think charging him with assault with a deadly weapon is right. They should have charged him with aggrivated assault.

Yes, coffee is very dangerous. It makes kids go hyper and who knows what they'll do when that happens. Run for your life!!! :D

wnker85 10-12-2004 04:16 PM

Coffee is dangerous. Let us not forget the old lady and Micky D's

"aggrivated"? He was sprayed a bit by the girl's soda!

xwesleyx 10-12-2004 04:34 PM

I don't care if the kid dumped it in his lap and kicked him in the teeth. If someone even were to act like they would do something like that to either of my children, I'd be the one going to jail.

wrestler315 10-12-2004 04:37 PM

that girl totally deserved it... teaches her to be more careful w/ her soda cans from now on. she's luckky she only got hot coffee poured on her....... =D

jk jk of course

Irishsean 10-12-2004 04:38 PM

I have serious issues with anyone hurting kids. I think I'd be going to jail for a bit if I saw that happen. I also think there is quite a chance a judge wouldn't hit me with anything heavy once he heard the story. People who hurt kids intentionally... *GRRRR*

I'm probably more of a security risk if you prevent me from taking coffee along and so help you me if you try to switch me to decafe!! :)

farcryer 10-12-2004 05:05 PM

I hate kids, I especially hate screaming, kicking, rampaging, mess-making, chaos-creating little hellions- which, in my opinion, includes all but the most saintly. I'm guessing that this kid was being less perfect than her parents are having everyone believe.

That being said, this guy could use a Mr. Coffee in his ass. Honestly, hurting kids? If you wanna get away from the rug roaches, just head to the titty bar. Sure the coffee might suck, but if someone playfully sprays you, you're likely to be HAPPY about it.

ReggErving 10-12-2004 06:29 PM

The man sounds like he has some huge anger issues. He should vent those by punishing himself and not harming a child.

carrot glace 10-12-2004 06:34 PM

to be honest maybe the guy was crazy and really liked that soda

Carno 10-12-2004 06:44 PM

Aggravated assault is like kicking someone when they are on the ground. This was definitely not aggravated assault.

irateplatypus 10-12-2004 06:47 PM

well... to be fair, it doesn't say that the coffee was hot.

Vincentt 10-12-2004 06:58 PM

A 3 or 4 year old girl is too cute to pour coffee on. But I think it is okay to attack 8 and 9 year olds with coffee.

Rekna 10-12-2004 08:26 PM

If he had poored water on her would he have been arrested? Now what was the temp of the coffee? If it wasn't hot (ie just warm) arresting him is extreme. He is an asshole but not a criminal.

ronan 10-12-2004 09:22 PM

who would pour HOT coffee on a four year old? no one... fact is, none of us know if the coffee was hot, so i don't understand why you're getting so angry, i'd pour SOMETHING on a kid if he/she deserved it... maybe to teach them that its wrong to pour things on people... but not to hurt them... it amazes me how everyone is judging this guy...

You'd pour a drink on someone because they ACCIDENTALLY shook up their can of soda a bit and some of it sprayed on you?

I think a simple "Hey, watch where you're pointing that thing" would suffice.

ronan 10-12-2004 10:10 PM

true, but if the kid was being a little shit and meant to do it, and wouldn't stop doing it... then...

i realise it says accidently... but you know what i mean..

high_jinx 10-12-2004 10:19 PM

i vote for the coffee enema as punishment. it should be "mcdonalds lady" hot.

alansmithee 10-13-2004 03:15 AM

I swear I heard about a woman doing the same thing a couple of years ago, or so. Only it was their wasn't enough ketchup or some other condiment and she flipped out on some 7 year old boy.

water_boy1999 10-13-2004 09:45 AM

Snopes? At what temp does coffee become a dangerous weapon? Where were the parents and why didn't one of the parents kick this guys ass? First thing I woul dhave done if this was truly intentional a accidentally pour my foot into his ass!

tspikes51 10-13-2004 10:14 AM

Well, here's where we have to guess whether the kid was doing it intentionally or not. Either way, if the coffee was hot enough to burn the child, the man's ass should have been beat.

timalkin 10-13-2004 10:18 AM

Time to ban coffee. Only the police and military should have access to such a dangerous weapon.

For the record, aggravated assault usually means that some type of weapon was involved, such as a firearm or knife, or I guess a cup of coffee.

StickODynomite 10-13-2004 10:19 AM

It doesn't say that the coffee was hot, but that doesn' mean that it wasnt..

What an old grumpy asshole. . she's just a kid.

cj22009 10-13-2004 10:25 AM

Man if I was that little girls dad I would have kicked that stupid fucks teeth for doing something like that I'm sure she didn't do it on purpose
