I'm thinking of buying some. What do you guys/gals like? Does your girlfriend like it? Name some names, thanks.

I used to wear lots of cologne, but then the girl i was dating had a good nose and thought it to be overpowering so I stopped.

why don't you go shopping with a lady friend and have her be your nose?

Acqua de Gio is the way to go. Not overly-powerful so wont offend, and smells very good.

The old one that everyone loved was Curve. I wouldnt suggest that one because every single girl has an ex who used to wear it, and you dont want her thinking of him when she's with you.

I know lots of girls who think Hugo Boss is the best! I personally stick with good ol' pheromones, but if I did break down and buy cologne it'd be that or coolwater, or I'd go shopping with a lady friend.

That's exactly what I did, in matters like this it definitely helps to have a sister. In my case it was my girlfriend, but either way. She decided on this limited-time summer fragrance from Cool Water. It is pretty awesome, but I don't know if you could find it now, its called Frost, or Freeze? Something like that, I'm actually too lazy to go look.

I continue to use Brut years after it was pitched by Joe Namath back in the day. Comes highly recommended and as it is not so common today, it's a fairly unique experience.

What's wrong with a shower? Nothing like the shower fresh scent - y'all don't need colognes... Really... Just take a shower and wash your hair -- now that's yummy.

I can smell it the minute he walks in the door

Farenheight - The women go crazy for this one, great scent and good for most occasions.
Ck One - It's got a nice light scent that reminds you of summer.
CK Eternity - Just a good scent but too much can be really bad.
CK Obsession - is good but it's not the scent for a younger guy.

Manic has it right. I use CK One and I have gotten a lot of "What are you wearing, you smell nice" comments from women.

Nothing better, especially in the summer, than Avon Island Lime. I don't believe they make it anymore, but can find it still in the bottle sometimes, at those places that sell the bottles to collectors.

Chrome

It's not too common so there aren't a ton of people that smell like you, and I get compliments all the time, not just from my GFs but from female co-workers and people I meet when I'm out.

Chrome gets 2 thumbs up from me...

After reading these threads lately I went on a hunt this morning for some cologne (my current deoderant is all I use and smells like talcum/baby powder, and I'm often embarrasingly aware of it).

After finding the cheapest cologne was $59 (Australian) for 'Nomad' (which I'd never heard mentioned here), I decided to see what was in the cheaper range.

So I went out and bought a $6 bottle of cheap cologne (the box says "Our alternative to Hugo Boss Aqua"). With all the mention of 'Aqua Di Gio' I thought it might be the same one, but I don't think it is. Anyway, I wore it tonight and far from being complimented, the friends I was with all constantly thought they smelled onions.

I'm not kidding. My $6 cologne smells like onions.

At least I only wasted $6, and I know now what not to buy from now on.

Heh. I didn't mean multiple GF's at the same time. I've been wearing Chrome through different GF's, and girls I've dated / hooked up with in between real GF's.

I'm a straight shooter, no 2 GF's at the same time for me. I don't have that kind of time!!
