I won a prize!
This made my day... I just recieved a "long distance call from Arizona" and I had apparently "won a sweepstakes that I had been automatically entered into because of my Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover card."
After the guy spit all of this out I said, "wow, thats amazing considering that I have never had a credit card in my life." which he replied with, "oh well it must have been your debit card, you know, because it has a visa logo on it." and i said, "I havnt had a debit card in 2 years my friend." .........dial tone..... ....I am assuming it was a scam to get my credit card # and info... any of you have any stories about these scams? They'd probably want your SSN to "verify your identity." Soon as they have that, your name, home address (Phone book) and the knowledge that you have a credit card... I suppose it's a start. I really dunno scams all that well though.

I've had cingular since they bought out the company that bought out the company that I originally signed up with (in 1993) I've never ever gotten one call from a marketer......wonder how it happend to you
