My current favorite is a -> LINK: -->RUM RUNNER. This is a fabulous blender drink great at poolside or other hot, outdoorsy occasion.

Another good one is a home brew concoction that I call a fuzz buzz. It's made in a blender by:

1) - fill the blender 1/2 with ice
2) - add 6 oz container of frozen lemonade
3) - add 1 & 1/2 lemondade containers of your favorite VODKA (approx 9 oz)
4) - add two peaches (minus pits & quartered)
5) - optional add 2 or 3 strawberries for color
6) BLEND adding ice until proper mix for frozen drinkie is achieved. Also possible to add more vodka to taste.

I'll occaisionally inbibe in a long island - provided it's made by a trusted bartender with top shelf liqour, but my absolute favorite mixed drink would be Bombay Sapphire & Tonic - crushed ice, and the slightest twist of lime. Nothing quite like it. That and ya know, that extra protection from malaria, can't beat it

I go for the simple. Gin and tonic. Everyone know how to make one, and you don't need any special ingredients. The more nasty the gin, the better. All those expensive gins don't have the right juniper berry flavor.

Mojitos are pretty good too.

I was just introduced to this one a few nights ago.. its the smoothest thing I've ever drank

Chocolate Martini
1 part Godiva
2 parts Baileys
1 part cherry vodka

Shake well in and strain through ice.

I was completely amazed at how well it went down..

Um, not really:

from this <a href="http://www.drinkoftheweek.com/blogs/2004_02_01_question_archive.html" target="_blank">site</a>.

And:

"Triple Sec, Orange Curaco, Grand Mariner, and Cointreau are all orange flavored liquors, and are often interchanged for one another depending on the cost conciensness of the bars proprietor."

I'm all for keeping it simple.

Rum and Coke is the hands down winner, preferably dark rum and coke.

Next up would be Gin and Tonic.

I like the taste of Rum and Coke. For some odd reason though, every time I've tried it I've gotten an instant headache. Hangover type headache. That throbbing aching kind. I still have yet to figure it out. I'm not diabetic or have any problems like that. I've only tried it a couple times thinking that the first was only coincidence. Oh well. There's plenty of other things to try and much that I haven't even tasted yet.

Whatever you don't <B>don't</B> try a Cement Mixer.

Basically, it's just a shot of Bailey's and a shot of citrus juice (usually lime or lemon juice). You slam back the Bailey's, but don't swallow it. Then, you slam back the citrus juice, mix them together in your mouth, and swallow.

Most. Disgusting. Drink. Ever.

If you've ever read the back of a Bailey's bottle before, you would notice that they warn you not to mix Bailey's with any citrus juices. The reason for this is because citrus juice actually causes Bailey's to curdle, so you end up with a sickenly sour lump of mass going down your throat. Just about gagged when I tried it.

I didnt believe the person who told me about those...then I tried one. Unbelievable that it tastes just like it. It made my list of favorite mixed drinks.....

I've cut back on the liquor since my college days...I'm more likely to have a glass of wine, but if I wanted a mixed drink Id probably go for:

To sip: Malibu & cranberry
To get hammered: Flaming Dr. Pepper or a tequila shooter

Recently, I got turned onto a drink. Capitan Morgan and GingerAle. Tastes like a cream soda!
