Limo, parties, kick ass suit, everything will just be good. So i figured I'd ask you guys to share some memories from your proms (good/bad) or graduations or whatever, just cause well, i'm excited and want to talk about it heh.

My Junior Prom/Formal was great. Asked the girl I'd had my eye on since transferring to that school out for the dance. Dressed up in an all white tux with blue vest, white top hat with blue, got a nice white cane, and white shoes. Went to a good restaraunt, then off to Prom, made our rounds, chatted, then walked around the lake, and would stop in on Prom every once in a while, eventually went and sat down in the fountain room at the hotel our Prom was at, we eventually left with some friends, and went and changed, did a few other things, and then we went up to my spot for a good overlook of the city, built a campfire, and snuggled, which eventually led to heavy petting. Most memorable moment was lifting my head when the sun came up and saying "Oh, what a beautiful sunrise" only to be pulled right back down.

I expected to get thoroughly yelled at by my parents, because I rolled into the house at 10:00 AM, but my mom opened the door to my room and said "How did it go?", instead of yelling like I would have expected.

There's so many more details, but enjoy lacjack!

Heh.... when I went my sophomore year I had a blast. Went with my best friend at the time and we just danced forever and had a blast. My senior prom, however, I went with him and some other friends..... we fit 6 people into a dodge ram lifted high from the ground.... one of my friend is paralyzed from the waist down and it was interesting to watch the guys get her in and out of car each time we went somewhere. But all in all, I know she had a blast and I really appreciate that she was able to go with us. Cant say I have many bad memories from prom at all... I was always able to make the best of it and had friends that helped that happen.

Have fun, dance, and again.. have fun!
Let us know how it is

Prom was really really good, i think mostly because i had a really good date. The realization that this is going to be one of the more significant and more memorable nights of your life also adds to the experience.

I took a girl that i had been chasing for quite a while, and...we danced, and danced some more . For me, it was just being around this girl and showing her a good time, as well as partying w/ my friends and heading out for a night out that made it so memorable.

I picked up my date around 6 p.m. and headed over to my best friends house, where a small group of us were going to meet up before heading to another friends house. However, this second friend that we meet up with is consistently dilatory, and we didnt' get to prom until 8:30 (prom started at 7). But, we got plenty of pictures in between the time i got to his house and the time we got to prom....

eitherway, i do'nt want to continue to bore the readers with stories, but i ended up not hitting up a afterparty w/ booze as i had originally planned and went to a friends house and played some halo.

Good times

My junior prom, I took my friend Sara. We'd known each other for a really long time from church, and were really good friends, but we weren't dating exactly. That night we made out and fooled around a little bit and it was the weirdest thing EVER. It was like making out with my sister. The next day we agreed not to ever try that again. We're still good friends.

My senior prom, I took my friend Ava, who was only a friend at the time and who (I now know) I totally could have dated if I'd had a pair of balls back then. Oh well. We had a fun night--there weren't many "couple"-couples in our class so a dozen or so of us went all as a bunch of friends. Technically we were paired up, but it was really a big gang date. The girls made dinner at Ava's house, then we went to the dance, then we came back to her house and played games and had a party until the wee small hours. Good times!

Damn, all you geekly girls went to the wrong high school. Couldn't have found a bigger geek than me. I went to my prom, heck, I even wore a dress and heels. For the life of me I can't remember my dates name, though I did remember running into him at my reunion. He was a jerk in high school, he hadn't changed much.

I seem to recall bailing on my date and the dance about half way thru and going to the beach with friends. Better times were had there.

Prom didn't interest me. Went to a few formal "dances" while in school but wasn't about to shell out hundreds of dollars to do something that never entertained me previously.

Instead I hung out with some friends and had a better time than most everyone else who did the prom thing. We all (those who went to the prom and those who didn't) went down to Seaside Heights for the weekend following and did the drinking and partying thing.

I enjoyed my fromal / prom, one of the better nights i ever had in high school.
If i had to pick a priceless memory out of the whole night thoe it would have to be driving down chapel street, with my friend head out of the sunroof of the limo, squarking like a seagul and trying to talk to people who were driving along side us.

Ah memories....

I honest-to-god had two dates to my Senior Prom.

One was a girl I knew from the place we both worked, she was about three years older than me and hot as hell. No, we were never more than friends, but man did I get looked at differently after some of the Jocks saw me come in with her on my arm.

Then, about 20 minutes into dinner we get a call that one of our friends has been ditched literally on the doorstep by the jackass of a boyfriend she had, so I cut out, picked her up, and made yet another grand entrance.

I walked out of the hotel ballroom with a lady on each arm that night, and it was one hell of a way to punctuate the end of a high school career that was otherwise decidedly uneventful.

MMMMMM prom.

lots of drunkness and sex... 2 different proms too since my g/f went to a different school so 2x the expenses and 2x the sex and drunkeness.

after her prom i graduated the next day and had to speed back from Oxnard to the San Fernando Valley... blew right past a motorbike cop who said,"If I had doors you would have blown them off..."

i was wearing a tshirt, shorts, one sock on and one bare foot. tux was in the back seat. g/f was still back at the party... told him i was graduating and i'm sure i reeked of tequila but he let me go home and told me some story about being careful not drinking and driving.

Michelle??? Is that you??? So funny you said this because I had one of the worst nights EVER when my date bailed on me. She left without saying goodbye and happened to have my change of clothes in the car I came in. We were all supposed to go party in a few rooms at the hotel later but she said she was supposed to be home by 11:00pm. So, next thing I know I am trying to bum a ride off everyone any anyone who would sympathize with me. I finally found my very first GF ever and her date......I was crammed into the back of a Fiat with my Tux on. We all went to the hotel and I had an even worse night. Long story.

Anyway, 10 years later I bumped into my date. I made her cry. I didn't mean to but I told her I knew she didn't go home, instead went to the beach to party. I also told her the rest of the events that took place and how that bad memory will always stay with me. I told her I hope she had a good time and fond memories because I surely didn't. My intent wasn't to make her feel bad, but it sure felt good to do so.

Yeah... My date wasnt so good. Prom was awesome, but the date.. Not so awesome. I remember cosntantly bumping into friends that night.
"Wheres your date?"
*Shrugs* "Thumbs down on my date."

No idea how many times that happened. And then after prom and i take her to a party or someting, its like 6am and i wanna go home. So she says she'll stay at a party with one of my friends. Who she ends up hooking up with.
And then i find out the next day.
And then the day after that, i found out she gave another one of my friends a hand job a few days before prom.

But prom was still awesome itself. I have no idea how many girls i danced with, there a lot of laughs, food, Denny's over packed with kids afterwards. It was still a pretty good night.

My Prom was lame, my date was a poor decision. I shouldn't have been dating a "good girl" who didn't drink and wanted to wait to have sex. That girl gave me blue balls so many times.

I ran into a friend of hers a couple years later and, of course, she was pregnant and the father was nowhere to be seen.

My prom was decent. I don't remember it too well, but that might have been because of the after-party we had (wink, wink). Actually, I wish I hadn't been drunk so I could remember it better, but there's no point in musing over the past.

My date went to a different school too and our proms were both on the same night. Strangely, both schools decided to have prom in Las Colinas (about a half hour drive from Richardson), a really nice area of town. They hold the Byron Nelson golf classic there every year. We never went to my prom, so I didn't know most of the people there, but I still managed to have a good enough time.

drat and double drat!!! This was starting to look exciting. Mal, could you pretend?

As far as my prom went, I've got mixed reviews. I went to Junior prom with one of my best friends, and things were a little weird between us at the time. She ended up hanging out with some steve at the after party, leaving me alone. So that we could sleep side-by-side on the floor, like disgruntled cousins, watching another couple negotiate their sleeping arrangements. The girl would move to be alone, the guy would follow. Back and forth between two couches. Fantastic.

Senior prom was good. Went with friends, wore a tux with tails, red cumberbun with matching Puma soccer flats. My date was gorgeous. We danced, we drank some champagne and fooled around.

And then ate breakfast four times. All in all, good times. Have fun at yours and remember to roll with it. I remember kids getting really pissed because it didn't go down like some fairy tale.

Herm. I missed my school's junior prom because I was showing my horse out of state. My very non suave best friend decided he needed a date to his senior prom that year and asked me by saying, "You're the only girl that I know who cleans up well, go to prom with me." Mind you it was a week before his prom. Nice. Wasn't an overly fun expirence - spent all night in lines for pictures, and reminding him that yes, he was sleeping at my house but to stop insenuating to people that he was sleeping IN my bed.

Went to my own senior prom, with another close guy friend. It was fun except for the fact that he didn't have a car. So I got to drive myself to the prom. :P Also ran right SMACK into my ex-best friend who was pregnant with a 22 year old's baby. (Said 22 year old wanted to date me for my brains and her for... well sex. )

wow prom. been three years, and i learned so much and remember so little. my high school has a big tradition of large groups renting beach houses about 70 miles from where we live down on the Texas coast all in a row, then spending the weekend down there after the dance. Was in a 'dry' house where 6 out of the 50 in my group stayed sober and babysitted drunks (myself included).

I'll tell my "aaaaawwwww, how cute" story about prom and leave it at that. I'd been thinking of prom way in advance, despite being a guy. I'd had everything planned on how I was going to ask the girl I planned on asking--as soon as I could figure out which one to ask. There were three different options, and they all dried up really fast (two had boyfriends and one had her date by the time I thought to ask). So there I was, slightly crestfallen, 6 weeks till prom, and a perfect plan to execute with no target.

Wander into my English class one morning, and the girl in front of me said, "Hey, you know Michelle?" I said, "Yeah, she sits two seats in front of me. She's in a couple of my classes." And the girl in front of me says "She was wondering if you had a date." Then it hits me right between the eyes--I'm not that popular of a guy, tend to float amongst 3-4 groups of friends, and she happens to be the co-captain of the varsity cheerleaders. On top of that, she's 5'11" and I'm 6'3" meaning I won't get scoliosis on prom night trying to dance with my date. So then my mind went into overdrive as class started. We happened to be in the second day of presentations reciting soliloquies from Hamlet, so I know I won't get a good chance to talk to her. Right as class starts, I revise all previous plans, grab a sharpie and say "Fuck it, go with it..." as I raise my hand and ask to go to the bathroom.

Well, the way our classroom was situated, we were on an interior hallway, and there were 12"-wide windows running along the side of the doorframe where only a small portion (roughly 25%) of the class could see outside into the hall, and even then, not very much of it. Michelle and I happened to sit in the row that lined up directly with them. As I got to the bathroom, I pulled off my top shirt, and meticulously (though somewhat hurriedly) wrote "Michelle, will you go to prom with me?" on my T-shirt. Then I threw my T-shirt back on, and grabbed my button-down as I brazenly walked back towards class. Right in the middle of a presentation, head in the clouds and knees shaking, I brazenly step in front of the window--and she's not looking. Everybody else who can see the window starts looking at me, and they all cover their mouths with silent "Ohhhhhhs!" Finally, the girl who told me Michelle wanted to go to prom with me gets Michelle's attention, and she looks up. Her smile was huge, but I don't think I've ever made anyone blush as hard as she did that day.

Not the only story from my senior prom, but by far the best Still have the shirt, and on it's back I wrote "She said YES!! 3-8-2001" on it. That shirt is one piece of clothing that stays with me wherever I happen to be living--college or my dad's house. I don't wear it in public, but it's a great story piece.

hmm didnt go to mine.. broke up with a girl a few months previous, never asked her to goto prom or anything, but apparently she thought we would go together.

she ended up getting her and a group of her friends to start hounding me about just taking her. I really didnt, so the easiest way was to not go. So, I stayed at home. She went with another friend of hers and I believe had a good time.

myself, I hung out with a friend who graduated a year before me and just hung out and talked all night. I enjoyed my night, but i still kind of wish she hadn't tried to pressure me into taking her.. I would have probably gone stag, but i would have still gone. however, the past is past

The one girl who I had planned on asking picked up some ass-hole boyfriend a couple months before prom, which sucked. I had a friend who I went to junior high with but she then went to a different high school. I hadnt talked to her for a while until she started working at the same place I did. When I had no one to ask I pretty much planned not to go. Until that is, until my friend asked me. So yeah, I was asked to my prom by someone who didn't go to my school. I thought that was pretty great. I really hasnt been to many school events so this was an unknown territory for me. I had a wonderful time. After we hung out at t friend's house but my date had a track meet early the next morning so she really didn't stick around. I had fun anyway.

ummm i know lacjack personally and he is 18. It is infact possible to graduate high school at 18, i did it. Lots of people are 18 durring first year university, it's the reason the pubs check ID and such... I don't know why analog got that impression but hopefully he reconciders the banning
