Pot smokers
 

I would like to know how much you spend say, per month on weed. My SO smokes it 24/7 and I think he takes it too far. He disagree's. So I want to see how much others smoke or spend on it.

What I spend, I make back. Put it that way.

I smoke it once in awhile while chillin with some friends or watching a $2 movies...

good buds aren't cheap. quarter oz goes for about 120 up in deez parts.

I haven't paid a dime for weed in over ten years and I smoke only the best BC bud :D. It's good to have good friends.

I don't even want to think about how much I spent total...

when i smoked a lot i blew through about 100 bucks a month. I have friends who go through quarter oz's in a few days.

I'm a retired smoker, at my peak it was bad though. I had money so at times I would drop 300 on an Oz. which would last two weeks maybe three if I wasn't overly generous. But if I were just buying sacks it could get ugly, I'd say probably around 90-140 weekly on bad weeks, sometimes 40-45 if it was a down week (sounds like quads here are a little cheaper).

At any rate what an expensive habit it was.

We've cut back. We used to get 40's every week, but we can't afford that right now. We've been out for about 3 or 4 days now, last we had was a 20 that lasted us 7 days, i think. we're not avid smokers, but we do enjoy it.

On average, prolly 30 or so a month. a gram can last me 3 days or so, but I don't realy need a lot to get high.

No spending for me. The only time I smoked (four times about a year and a half ago), I leeched it off my 'friend with benefits.'

i use to smoke for years (about 4 straight) and gave it up about 5 months ago, use to pay about 180 for a O, and it lasted about 2 months or so.

i dont pay anymore usually.........but i go through a half ounce to an ounce weekly, about 100-200 dollars worth

i'm trying to quit for this week, made it a couple days so far.......

over a year ago, I was getting $300 a week in Unemployment, and would buy a $40 (about an 1/8th oz) almost every week. My girlfriend would go through that, sometimes she would buy a second 1/8th that week, sometimes we wouldn't buy again for a couple weeks...
eventually I/we/she got sick of it, and we stopped buying.. yet, even though I've only bought weed a couple times since then, I still smoke at least once a week. I don't consider myself a leech, though, as it's usually when I have other people over, using my house, eating my food, etc ;) sa'cool, 'eh...

I got a good friend whom I buy from. I only buy it in an eighth O at a time b/c I'm not a huge smoker. But its 15 bucks for that much of high quality bud. I know what he pays for it and I'm getting massive discount

i dont smoke unless it is free(and im out of beer)... i have only spent a total of 80$ on it in my life.

£20 a draw, usually buy a quater or so at a time about twice a month - £80

£10 on halfs with someone else, 3 times a month or so - £30

grand total (roughly) £110.

but, i've been cutting down recently, and i've spent about £40 over the past month and a half, i'm proud of myself:icare:

I so agree with you there! I used to smoke pot like a mad man but I have started to drift away from it. but before I quit, I didnt even bother to buy my own and would only smoke with a buddy and they would always have it and were more that willing to offer. Now that I think about it, I could actually be down to smoke a bowl right now... Who's holding?:D

I smoke so little (though regularly) that friends just give it to me, but, I figure if I actually paid for it and spread it out over the year, my monthly weed bill would be in the neighborhood of 3 to 5 bucks. Used to be closer to 50, but I went an grew up.

Yeah I liked that B.C bud too. Hooked up with some in Whistler.

But the best I've ever smoked (25 years smoking now)is here in the nations capital as we speak. One hit and your off, but in a great way.Kinda like coke without anything to do with that shit..

I have a little bong in my room and I can make a decent gram last a week or so.. So in the end, factoring in extra spur-of-the-moment weed, I'm looking at about $50 a month. ($35usd)

I guess you can classify me as a leech. I only smoke occasionaly if I'm at a party or something and someone invites me to smoke. I have a few friends that do spend a little too much on the greens and the accessories.

For example, spending your entire tax return on a bong. I try to reason with them, but it doesn't work.

When I used to smoke regularly, I'd go through about a half ounce of KB in the space of a month. So, like 200 bucks a month or something.

We went to Amsterdam about six years ago, spent £2 on ten seeds, grew 10 plants, threw out the males which left us with 6 plants growing happily to a hight of 7ft in the greenhouse at the bottom of the garden.
This kept ourselves and our friends in another dimention for a year.
We do it every year, we are getting better at it, but we have a pact that its ours, under no curcumstances will it be sold. Anyone who wants weed can just grow it. Its a fuckin weed, it will even grow in my garden in England.
So to answer the question, about £0.16.6p per month. Thats about 30cents.

i end up getting nice bits of duff from a good friend, then i can share the wealth with many other individuals..giving out big pinches of super heady herbs is always a treat..makes me feel good to be able to do that as well....and then i dont have to be there to smoke it with them either, if im in a hurry

just a nice way of sharing :)

it's not how much, it's what kind. you can blow $100 in a day or a week, depending on the stuff you buy.

exactly, considering the prices some people are paying for here, they havn't even dawned on the word 'stoned'.

now, a little lesson on the good smoke:

hash(ish) - brown lump, made from the resin of the cannabis plant, can be very weak (more usual) or very strong. £10 1/8 ounce

Weed - the leaves, seeds and stalks of the cannabis plant, usually about a medium strength, most widely available because there are a lot of leaves on cannabis plants (stating the obvious for the morons out there). £15 1/8 ounce

Bud/Punk/Skunk - The flowering bud of the cannabis plant, contains the most THC (the phsycoacitve compound). one 1/8 will get you stoned, a quater will get you fucked, a half will get you dead. £20/25 dependant on strength (which is considerable).

all prices are subject to currency variations and shoddy dealers.

now, any serious smoker will only buy bud, because it's just not worth buying any less. I've never heard of bud being smoked in america, just weed, so i can't really give to much insight into things in the states.

what kind is exactly what you need to know. i've smoked 3 draws (1/8) of some bud in a night and just been slightly off my trolley, and i've smoked a single draw and been lying on the floor giggling incoherently.

there's plenty of bud being smoked in the US, it's usually some form of hyroponically grown plants. it's expensive, Tom Petty the rocker buys pot around $700/ounce. I've been invited to smoke with Uncle Tom on more than one occassion, but have always declined.

over here, the most you'll be charged is £200 for an ounce (and that stuff WILL kill you), usually it's about £140.

i suppose it is hydroponics though, but still, thats still a large amount of money. next time you get an offer, roll up a pure spliff on 110mm paper, if you can't see after it, i'm gona have to come over there and try it out for myself:D

But I can afford it, so its really isn't anything. I would say that "taking it too far" would be spending money on it, before other bills. If its extra cash that you earned, fuck, spend it however you want.

Anyway, just casual smoker here these days. Usually just to chill after work, or as a natural sleep aid a couple times a week. All total runs me about $40 a month.

Though I guess I'm lucky compared to some, I've never had a hard time finding kind nuggs for less than $60 a quarter.
