Political orientation and bread choice

I've seen some connection between one's political orientation and the type of bread. I know this is an odd poll, but I'm requesting your input.

Based on where this goes, I might move it to Nonsense. ;)

onetime2 04-30-2004 06:59 AM

White Bread Conservative here.

ninety09 04-30-2004 07:03 AM

Interesting poll ;P I'm Liberal and Multigrain bread.

Cynthetiq 04-30-2004 07:16 AM

conservative multigrain

Polyphobic 04-30-2004 07:16 AM

Does multigrain = multi ethnic = liberal
and white = not multi ethnic= conservative?

Multigrain liberal is me.

lurkette 04-30-2004 07:24 AM

It kind of depends - I'm liberal, and I like wheat bread but only good wheat bread - the kind with nuts and millet and stuff in it, not the molasses-browned stuff in a bag at the grocery store. I like white bread if it's fresh and soft and moist, not the dry, spongy Wonder Bread stuff.

Picky liberal?

Yakk 04-30-2004 07:42 AM

How do you tell if you are liberal or conservative?

Really very incredibly basic answer:

Republican = Conservative
Democrat = Liberal

Now, this isn't always the case so everyone can save it when they wanna say "OMG YOU R TEH WRONG!" or whatever :p

That being said... Liberal White Bread

Peryn 04-30-2004 07:48 AM

Depends on the Sandwich bigtime. i LOVE a good pb&j sandwich. Its quick, easy, and taste great. Gotta have white bread for it.

But for more like a ham & turkey or something, i really dig a nice dense wheat bread with all the nuts and grains and whatnot in there. A white bread normally just doesn't cut it here.

Confused Conservative i guess you could say. Or maybe my bread choice should make me an independant?

k1ng 04-30-2004 08:16 AM

Interesting poll! I'm curious to see the results after more people vote.

I'm mostly a Wheat Bread Liberal, but like Peryn said, it depends on the sandwhich =)

No, I'm just so confused, conservative and like 100% whole wheat bread but:

Republican = idiot
Democrat = idiot

:D (Denotes "No offense intended to anyone of any persuasion.)

CSflim 04-30-2004 09:12 AM

Weirdest poll ever!

Liberal, white bread.

absorbentishe 04-30-2004 09:45 AM

I'll just say that I don't ever express my opinions on the board, but I don't just lean in the direction. And I'm a whole wheat or multi grain kind of guy.

quadro2000 04-30-2004 10:50 AM

Yummmm....liberal white bread.....

laconic1 04-30-2004 11:09 AM

conservative white bread

jfranco13 04-30-2004 11:59 AM

I only really like Italian Bread or fresh-made bread, none of that pre-packaged grocery store stuff for me. And I'm a liberal.

HamiC 04-30-2004 12:01 PM

Liberal (independent, not Democrat)........wheat bread.

present_future 04-30-2004 12:35 PM

Conservative wheat bread eater here.

ARTelevision 04-30-2004 12:38 PM

...a conservative who eats no bread.

KellyC 04-30-2004 01:41 PM

White (buttermilk) bread eating Liberal.

BigGov 04-30-2004 02:08 PM

It depends more on the quality of the bread.

How about a homemade-bread-conservative?

cherriesue 04-30-2004 02:21 PM

independent liberal wheat bread

04-30-2004 02:40 PM

I am with the majority of the consensus.

MSD 04-30-2004 03:27 PM

Liberal, white bread is my favorite, but won't turn down other types. As long as it's fresh and not dry.

zfleebin 04-30-2004 03:30 PM

Peetster: Are you gonna statistically analyze this?

animosity 05-01-2004 11:12 AM

i'm more of a pumpernickle or rye and liberal.

Yep. :D

And your Dead avatar rocks, man.

H12 05-01-2004 06:34 PM

I tried to stay out of this topic due to its absurd title...I really really tried. I gave in, however...

...with that said, I'm a liberal multi-grainer-and-whitey fan.

ChrisJericho 05-01-2004 06:38 PM

I'm liberal and I like whitey bread !

Astrocloud 05-01-2004 06:41 PM

I love this poll but I can't answer. I am a disaffected conservative. New conservatives call me a liberal but that doesn't make it so. Nobody is centrist enough for me...

Oh yeah I like sourdough.

Sensei 05-01-2004 07:41 PM

So far conservatives favor white bread by a 3:2 margin and liberals favor multigrain by a 2:1 margin. You guys don't even like color in your bread!?! (I kid, I kid. BTW, multigrain liberal here.)

zfleebin 05-01-2004 09:58 PM

Are you gonna do a two-way chi?
Oh, and thanks for the compliment.

white bread = YUCK
good wheat bread, especially home-made = perfect

conservative in everything but it would be a cold day in hell before I would say I was a 'democrat' or 'republican'. Not that I have voted, but it is more a case (IMO) of the republicans being the lesser of two evils in recent years.

dy156 05-03-2004 06:29 AM

I like potato bread the best, but usually stick with whatever multigrain bread is on sale that week. Does that make me liberal, because I don't stick with the white bread I grew up with? no.
It makes me worried about my health and my money and trying to do something about it myself- conservative.
