Used to carry right rear (Yeah, I have a chain-driven wallet), but moved it to the front due to back issues. anything I carry is either in the front pockets or hanging off the right side of my belt.

Always left back pocket, since some pants I've worn and currently wear only have a back pocket on the left side. Even though I'm right-handed, I take out my wallet with my left hand through sheer force of habit. As for the hanky, I've always had one on me (back right pocket) since I arrived in Japan, because many bathrooms do not have any hand dryers or disposable towels. I'll probably still carry one when I'm back in Montreal... those things are really convenient!

I see the left back pocket is not all that popular -- The reason I keep my wallet there is that I'm left handed and it just seems natural.

I'm a die hard back-right, I tried the back-left last week for one day just to see how big of a differece it made. I only lasted half an hour before I switched back
|
Well, in the past I've carried it in my back right pocket. After reading this thread, though, I'm thinking that I'm not paranoid enough.
So from here on out I'm going to carry it around in my teeth. That oughta keep it safe, except when I'm at a restaurant. |
Back right = wallet
Back left = cash Being from NY, I always carried my cash seperately from my wallet, except for an emergency $20 in my wallet. Cell/pager = front right Keys/papers = front left |
Right rear. I am right handed and it feels right. I take it out when i drive, to be more comfortable. Sitting on that lump for ten hours can give you a sore butt.

Interesting. At this point I am the only person to carry their wallet in a cargo pocket, always on the left side. I always find that it's awkward and difficult to pull a wallet out of the front or back pockets while sitting down, especially in a car, so just being able to reach down and slide it out of the side pocket works pretty well for me.

cell and maybe pen goes front left, keys front right.
therefore, not enough room so wallet has to go to back right. if it's not there, it feels weird like something's missing. i want a money clip though... just havn't gotten a chance to buy one. |
My wallet shall forver be in my front left pocket, I'm right handed and I frequently have stuff going in and out of my pockets so I keep it out of the way.

Wallet: Front Left (left handed)
Hanky: Back right Cell phone: Front right Keys: Front right Pens/pencils: Front Left Any papers/ gloves: Back left |
Left back pocket. It feels so weird to have it in any other pocket.

I'm traditional, back right pocket
|
I am left handed and carry in my back right.
My father always carried in his front left but I always thought he was being paranoid... besides after a while you get a nasty wallet outline on your thigh. If I am feeling the need for more saftey (ie crowds, etc) I will move it to an inside jacket or a front pocket... |

I keep it in my back right pocket, I don't wear baggy pants so I don't sit on it, and because I don't wear baggy pants I can always tell when my wallet is not in my pocket. Not that the awareness causes any problems, but it's in the feeling, I'm not afraid someone will pick-pocket me. Most people don't expect a woman to carry a wallet anyway. I also have a hanky, but I only use it at night and it sit's next to my bed if my nose decides to fight me and I can't breathe(I have bad allergies). Also it's washed often. But I never carry it around with me, that's disgusting and unsanitary. As for the belt with jeans, I don't even own a belt. |
