yeah, the odd thing is... tfp seems to have as many girls in the mix as any other board i've frequented and yet there is still a "tilt" in the balance. i've read studies/surveys or whatever on internet usage... apparently girls are right up there. i know that i have more girls than guys on my IM buddy list. i wonder where they all go. if you're suggesting i register for a free newsletter from the folks behind lifetime television... you can forget it.

I'd say the 6.5 is pretty accurate...
Assume the following: An equal rate of response to the 'introduce yourself here' thread in newbie land (1654) and ladies louge (239) All ladies introduced themselves both places (1654-239=1415), and Each reply represents a single new member and you get 1415/239 = 5.9. If you assume ladies only introduce themselve in the LL, you get 6.9...I would imagine the truth lies somewhere between.
