Describe your muse.
Steven King describes his muse as a little guy with a crew-cut and overalls who takes a dump on his head.
Some people say that their muse is their spouse or child. Me, my muse is sort of like the creature from Alien. I get an idea. It grows and forms inside, often just on the periphery of my perception. Then when I’m right in the middle of something, it explodes out of me. I need to stop whatever it is that I am doing and WRITE (or draw). I have no choice in the matter. Tell us about YOUR muse |
mine is my ghost
|
Mine comes to me in liquid form.
Mainly in the form if Lone Star (Pure. Texan. Beer.). I get more ideas when I'm half cocked. It's like people that smoke weed to write music. I drink beer to write really crappy articles. Makes sense? |
I'd say a huge ocean wave crashing down on me- or a ssurge through my body with plenty of adrenaline.....depending on the epiphany I get and my situation.

Women.

Spiders, definitely spiders and they lay their eggs deep inside my brain. At anytime day or night the egg sac might burst and the babies run free. Some I smash, some I eat, some I cram into my pocket for later, some I have long-winded philosophical discussions with over coffee for hours.

Random, regular life.
I'll see or hear something, and it'll trigger my head... and then I just start pouring words out of my fingertips. |
no muse here

though, sometimes, when I'm alone and it's absolutely quiet, the shits come to me. |
The night. Especially 9pm-11pm.
Walking down a dark street on the way home or just out for fresh air. A cat runs along the fence, a streetlight flickers and the ideas come. |
Off having a hell of a lot more fun than I am.
Artists block since May 2003. |
i thought I had a muse meant forever...
she filled me with bright ideas and shining examples showed me paths in which to go. then she left me a dried husk when th' goin' got tough. the souless bitch...probably high-tailed it back into the ether from which she came. (i'm sorry moonpie!!! i didn't mean it. please come back.) |
My muse... Well I guess my muse is people. And people I've known. And my inspiration is to be as good as my peers. I know for an absolute fact that art is subjective, but its still a competition in my head. I can never ever get that out of my mind. But back to my muse... If I were to peg it on one specific thing, itd have to be the stars... Each star is essentually a sun, like our own. This sun might possibly have a system of planets, as big if not bigger than my own. That's how I think the mind must work, also how ideas work. You get the idea, and it develops as you think about it.

I've honestly never heard of the word muse in my entire life. Oh well, off to www.dictionary.com !

Mine is a string, like that on a violin. When all is well, it stays silent, and does not vibrate...But when things start to go bad, and my world starts to shake, then it starts shaking with it, producing tunes, and forcing me to write and write and pour it all out in to my journal....
I think that's my muse? :) |
A dark, eerily quiet night with a cool breeze and an overlook, seeing lights sparsely scattered in the distance.
|
I dont think I have one lol

mountains.
huge mountains. all i want to do is climb them. get get up, to taste that adrenaline in the back of my throat, in my head, in my legs and in my heart. |
My muse is like a tide. I feel it swell inside me and for a few hours all I can do I draw or paint and then a few hours later It sweeps away and I'm finished for a bit. But like a tide it is regular and I know it'll be back, and I get excited thinking about it

Depression.
I realize that is a horrible muse, but whenever I am depressed, I write the most incredible shit. Thankfully I haven't written anything in a couple months |

|
Any version of "Eyes of the World".
|
It's a microsoft Intellipoint Optical US...
Oh, *muse* :) I find silence and solitude draw my creativity. |
Thundering silence.
|
The hardwood deck of a boat
and it's midnight. full moon reflection on the calm water. stars go on forever. |
My muse changes from chakra to charka....but is always available and usually much more aware than I am.
