Telephone Psychics
 

You guys ever get suckered into calling those phone psychic hotlines? What was the experience like? Was the "psychic" at all on the mark, or just talking out their ass? Any particular hotlines that you have found to be extremely expensive?

Nah, I pride myself on having more self restraint than that.
Funny story:
I had a friend in St.George who's sister called a psychic hotline for SIX HOURS. It cost her (actually her parents, they billed her phone bill) over FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS! So yeah, I learn from others mistakes. She said they kinda freaked her out with their info though...

Hahah that's funny. I'm kinda curious if anyone's really had fun doing these things, why else would someone call them, right?

If you ask me, all of people involved in this horseshit should be sued for fraud. There is no other word you could use to describe their business.

I'm pretty skeptical when it comes to people claiming psychic powers. I've known only one person whom I'm pretty convinced beyond reasonable doubt is an "intuitive," and he doesn't do the "I see big things in your future" crap. The people who work on phone psychic lines are frauds who are trained in cold reading. You're better off asking Orodinn ;)

I've always wanted to call one up and ask her why, if she's psychic, she didn't know I wanted to talk to her and call me instead ;)

I have this thing for somehow getting a freebe call and have them stay on the line till they are exhausted.

I'd never call or visit a psychic. I think they are all frauds.
