Make your own sweet posters with the Rasterbator...

Here: http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/

I made this one:

Which they have featured in their gallery as "An extremely cool image"

My tips for making good posters:

- Make sure your printable area on your printer is set to maximum
- An image that doesn't depend on colour to be what it is
- An image of around 600px wide or height works best
- Spread over a large amount of pages.

Close up of what the poster looks like:

This is one of my first posts here so hope its in the right section etc

Enjoy. Paul

Yeah!!! I could abuse Work Printer resources, but in this day and age of downsizing, and cost-cutting I think I'll use the school's resources instead.

Didn't work for me. After I picked my image to upload, the flash player froze or didn't load right. Did it on both IE and Mozilla

Don't want to waste an ink cartrige? Kinkos is $0.06 for B&W prints of PDFs. They will rue the day my 49 page PDF came in for the grand total of $2.94.

I will commit to only use this power for evil. . .

... not on the wall... on the ceiling...

but yah i was printing all 98 pages at once at the library... and some guy was getting pissed saying it was taking forever and was all the same shit on every page... and then some girl was asking what it was... so i said "its an art project, you put it all together, step back and it makes a big picture" and she thought that was cool... then after they left an employee that had heard me came up and said "if that guy gives ya anymore trouble lemme know and i'll deal with it... its your printer as much as it is his"

hehe it was kinda funny... but i felt pretty bad about holding everyone up... i thought those printers were usually a lot faster...

A couple of years ago I SO wanted an easy solution to this... I had converted a large image to ASCII characters, which IMO looks way cooler. The end solution was to use InDesign, which had a feature to print characters over the course of many pages. I now have a huge Tom Waits on my wall. Looks cool.
I am so going to try this, though! Thanks for the link.
