Age = More Hair
I dont know if this is common, but interested to hear:
Back when I graduated college about 12 years ago I had some nice chest hair as well as the standard amount of arm & leg hair. As time passed I noticed that I just keep getting more & more hair. In 12 years it has gotten much thicker, spread to my stomach & ass and now every few weeks I have to pluck it off my shoulders, not to mention some are turning grey. Im sure in the next few years I will have the dreded "hairy back". I dont mind the hair, nor does the wife, but its annoying & can be itchy. In the summer months I bust out the trimmer to look better groomed. Anyone else have this happening. |
Dude, don't sweat it. I have had a full body rug since I was 17, just be thankful you aren't one of us.

They say, the more body hair a man has the more Testosterone he has & I know my T-level is high!!

I agree.
You DO get hairer as you get older. That's life. Mr Mephisto PS - Never mind the dreaded hairy back, it's the grey pubes you have to watch out for! Talk about mental anguish.... |
More hair with age, everywhere but on your head...
I am not bald by any stretch of the imagination but it is thining a bit. The scary thing was just this morning catching a glimpse of my back in the mirror... its hairy. I thought to myself, "Now when did that happen?" |
Just remember...

To hell with worrying with back hair - worry with the old man nose and ear hairs and those unruly eyebrow hairs that are as long as a hair on your head! Gross...
Chics lose pubes (not necessarily a bad thing), and those on their head but get those winners that grow out of nasty moles and such (should they have any). Errant hairs are freakishly normal for both sexes. |
It's one of the many cruel jokes your body plays as you age. I've never been hairy. I think I have about seven chest hairs. But now that I'm careening headlong into middle-age, I've got a hair farm started in/on my ears. My EARS forchristsakes! What sort of evolutionary advantage did my ancestors have due to their middle-age ear hair? And now that the gray hair has started to pop up, my nose hair has become more prominent.
I don't care what anybody else says, long gray nose hair is NOT cool. Or how about this - all of a sudden, my pits stink more than my deodorant can handle. I was never a stinky guy before. Now, suddely, my pits and increased their stink and hair output. Fucking, what the fuck?! What's up with this? If my body feels the need to produce more of something, why hair and stink? Why not a few extra inches of dick? It's like Gallager said, "If you bought your body at Sears, you'd return it." |

The dread I have over this is that my father grows more hair out of his ears than he has on his head! Oh well...he's 69 years old so I guess he's earned it huh?
One word: NADS (hair removal gel) |
i have very little hair being asian . lucky me..but i think you brought it down on yourself...plucking hair makes it grow back thicker like a forest...ever see that seinfeld episode?

I'm Italian.
I don't have a choice. |
Yep, it's just a fact of life for most of it. The most annoying phase is when there's just a little and you try to pluck or shave it. But, after a while, it will become too much work and you'll just give up and go with it.
It's actually the same in reverse with going bald. It's akward when you try to cover up the bald spot or pretend it isn't there. It looks dumb that way, too. But when you just embrace it and go with it, it's really no big deal at all. Some women actually seem to prefer it. |
Yeah, I have the full bath mat chest.
And, as i have gotten older, it has curved around my sides, and creeped up my back. Though, it is not a forrest like some of those dudes in that link above. I don't mind the hairy chest bit, but the hairy back bit scares even me. Was thinking about one of those laser hair free clinics to get my back done. It just seems pretty girlie, though when i wear a muscle shirt and turn and look in the mirror, i cac see back hairs. My chest hair also tends to get long believe it or not, and every couple of months, i have to pull out the eletric trimmers and give them a cut. And I would agree with the saying that guys with hairy bodies have high testosterone levels. |
I like to compare it to the stately, noble lion. That long flowing mane is actually neck and back hair, earned with age. So embrace it, flaunt it, braid it, whatever. I still trim my nose and ear hair almost daily, though.
