After looking through the board for a minute I have asked myself a question. Is there a place here that is music fits into well? Yes I realize there is a entertaiment forum but it seems to be overun buy the ideals of videos and television. I wonder if there is a place around here that could harbor music. I ask this for a few reasons.

First off I am not mocking any of the posters of this forum or the forum itself. I do enjoy this forum for the sort of unity it brings to life. There are a lot of helpful people around here.. and I do so love a good debate. I find myself to be a contributor here, I post when I can not all the time however. (No I haven't donated, sorry on that one Hal. I'll need to remind myself to do that sometime =). )

I bring this question up to bring more questions about music to everyone. I'm not really here asking for a section for music, more so asking what people think and I wonder if they'd be interested in persuing other coversations about this topic in other posts (probably in the entertainment section)? I'm interested in a few things for personal knowledge. ( I'm posting it in the general forum for the hopes that I can grab not only a larger source of participation but hopefully one with that of many cultures) Music effects me ever so much because i enjoy it... and I sort of care to know what others thing of it? I'm writing this here rather than the entertainment forum because I care to know what people think about this subject?

Questions like:
1) How does music effect your life?
2) What kind of music do you enjoy? Why?
3) If music effects your life in a possitive way, why? Is it helpful with many problems?
4) If music effects your life in a negative way, is there a reason?

These are just some of the many question I have about music, and its effects.

I could say many things about this subject. I remember when I was little I hated music. It really didn't interest me, mostly because I was always listening to what my parents wanted rather than what I desired. As I've grown older I come to enjoy many different things. In highschool I mostly went through a fad of lots of Rap music. I eventualy grew mostly out of that to find a home in rock, alternative, and metal. I've found lately that music adversly effects my life. I come to it for problems, sometimes I feel down and I turn on some tunes for a sort of release away from things. Sometimes I want to be happy and just listen to it as background and enjoy it there. Somtimes I use music to sleep with. My range of music has expanded from the rap, rock, metal range to even softer classical music. I can honestly say I've never played an instrument but I still moreso enjoy music as part of my life. Maybe I should find something to play sometime.

I've brought all these statments and question up to answered, I hope if people are willing that I could be giving input about this subject as well as subjects that will directly string and stream from this post. For the mods: I would enjoy your input as well as you are also part of this forum. If this topic should be placed somewhere else I understand and I'm sorry for that.
