Does anyone share my opinion???
Ok, if there was one word that I have heard way too much of lately it would have to be PUSSIFIED. I am tired of hearing this word. I have seen it used all over TFP to describe our government, racial issues, the context words are used by, the way we react to aggressions by other nations.....I mean, any chance people get they are saying the U.S. is becoming PUSSIFIED.
I beg to differ. I feel we are becoming more tolerant of the different races, cultures, opinions, religions, governments, and general ways to which we live our lives. We are not becoming less of humans because we try to work out situations in a civil and orderly manner. I am not becoming less of a person because I would much rather handle a situation in a non-combative mindset. There are so many people on this planet with different views and daily issues that it takes a lot of tolerance to live in peace and tranquility and NOT be bothered by other people's problems. Does anyone else share this opinion? |
I think you've been too pussified.
j/k :) Obviously violence is the worste way to solve problems |
Would that be the same as Vaginalized?
While I do not think that the US is becoming overly vagialized, I do think that the people that want to see everything in light of its PCness are getting a little out of hand. |

I wish we were a little more pussified.
We've now lost more soldiers in Iraq than we did in the first six months of the Vietnam War. What we need here is a little pussification. |
I agree with you, waterboy. I don't really have anything much else to add to your succinct summation of the situation.
I do object to the use of the word "pussified," not because I'm offended (that was for your benefit, sixate ;) ) but because it implies that a more "feminized" (I prefer the term "civilized," but let's meet this stereotype head-on) way of dealing with things is a bad thing. |
*King will write a response when he's done doin' his hair and watching "Trading Spaces"*
|
Pussified Male = the 21st century man, raised by a woman, under strong (overbearing) female influence, not subjected enough to a male role model with respective values, taught to be "nice" and comply to PC instead of acting out his masculinity.
That's pretty much how I understand it. I don't see why this word would be used when talking about the US government. My perspective is the complete opposite. I like the word itself, though. |

Thanks for the responses. |
I'm not clear whether this is a thread about semantics or politics.
The use of a questionable word is one question. The question of whether or not there is a strategic necessity to wage an aggressive military campaign against global terror is another. |

In *my* opinion, there is no reason we should still be over there. We keep losing soldiers, and for what? Because we feel it necessary to sit over there and regulate the rebuilding of the country? I think that's BS. We've done enough for them, albeit through unpopular means, we don't need to babysit them now. |
Vespertine, your comment underscores my point.
This thread is inching toward the Tilted Politics Forum... Perhaps we can keep it on track - maybe that's not possible - since the track seems bifurcated from the start. |
I'm of the opinion that everyone else needs to grow some thicker skin.
|
I agree with "Prince" and "gilada" and as far as the war goes I am in total support of it. We did not win our freedom by backing down and talking about our feelings and the same goes for winning other nations freedom. And yes "ARtelevision" this would make a great subject in the Politics Forum. I'm sure it would get very passionate in there.

bifurcate - v. divide into two branches.-adj. two-branched
I don't mind if people use that word. (pussified that is) If that's the ONLY word they can use to describe a situation, that's where they are at. I can't really complain... Sure there are other words in the English language that might better elaborate their point, but if that's the word they're using, I can understand what they're trying to say. How does pussified translate into other languages? Does it even? German, Japanese, Spanish....etc. |
I find the word Pussified quite hilarious and I don't see how it could be used in any other form then a joke. I think I am gonna start using this word.
|
I think we're becoming slightly sissified. We can't play dodgeball in our schools anymore and there are just so many ridiculous law suits happening.
|
Pussified? Sissified? Vaginalized? I thought we were Wussified. When are we going to get Penalized again?
|
This thread is really about people not liking the fact that the term Pussified is anti-feminist, well I got one thing to say to you, you're a Dickhead.
;) |
People really do need to grow some thicker skin.
Call it what you want, but it seems there are a lot of immature people who lived sheltered little lives and get offended at the drop of a hat. Sad, really, that one could be so easily offended by so many things. Some people just need to grow up. It's also sad that I, of all people, had to say this. ...and stay on topic, please. :) |
