Just got back from Florida vacation...
 

Well the family and I just got home froma 7 day vacation to Palm Beach, Florida. It was awesome!!! The weather was sunny and above 80 every day. It's a shame we have to come home where currently it's 4* outside:( We had a blast. We spent New Years Eve with some friends on a rented 60-foot yacht (sp?). Now all my friends are jelous because of my tan. Anyways, thought I'd report back... how was your vacation?

Still on mine and can relate to the weather situation.
It's hot here everyday and the water is super clear for swimming and snorkeling too.A 60' yacht,wow I'm bloody jealous.

did you wave on the way past herostar? I'm about an hour and a half north of palm beach.

Glad to hear you that you had some fun family times. Keep taking them. My kids are statring to want to take them on their own.

We took a Florida vacation and had a great time. Disney, Cocoa Beach, etc.... It was hot.... DAMN HOT.... almost too hot to breathe.

All this and near record snowfall. WOOHOO!

Florida's weather was nice when I've been there. The one thing that bugged me was how flat it is. I've lived near mountains all my life so South Florida seemed terribly flat. About the only time we had a view while driving was on a highway overpass:)

My holidays involved nice dinners, lots of drinks, great friends and sledding down my driveway with my kids. Can't beat that I'd say.

Heh, I live here in Tampa and I used to think it was funny when people said they wanted to come here for vacation. Then I went to Penn State in January and saw snow for the first time. Now I understand why northerners want to come here.

I'm in SW Fla. I wouldn't mind the weather, except when it gets down to 50 degrees on occasion. Cold enough to be uncomfortable, but not enough for snow.

I went to Wisconsin for the holidays. It was nice to experience winter weather again, but I was happy to get back to the sunshine afterwards.

I live in sunny South Florida, and went to Upstate NY for the holidays, where it was considerably colder...It was nice to have a white Christmas for a change, but man, I got so sick!
It's good to be back home where it's about 80° right now!

I trust it was a sailing yacht? ;)

Well... it's been about 5 degrees all week.

Suck it.

Would take winter up north versus the heat and humidity of a florida summer any day.

It's not that bad, you get used to it. The shitty part is the half hour long torrential downpour EVERY SINGLE DAY during the summer months. It's quite unpleasant, and my yard looks like a jungle a week after I mow it. It does cool things off though, so it's not insanely hot here during the summer.
