Blessings
So the holidays are just around the corner and the general holiday cheer has gotten me in the mood of giving. And of being grateful for all the many blessings that I see running rampant through my life.
So here's the idea of this thread: What are those things that make you smile, that make you happy, that remind you that someone loves you... Someone Divine if you believe in Him or maybe just your S.O. or parents or siblings or friends or... your dog. I want to know what all you TFP-ers are grateful for. Here's my list: Hal Hal's creation (TFP) tears of joy sunsets mountain biking electricity waterfalls watermellons glasses/contacts abstract art peanut butter crisp, dark mornings before the rest of the world is awake lightning storms in the desert mountains rolling hills trees! oxygen produced by trees home and a zillion other things. |

Autumn wind
Summer rain Kisses Family Friends Friends that are like family (you know who you are...) Photographs that make you smile Sour apple schnapps Long conversations Friendly hugs The smell of a freshly-bathed baby who's sleeping in your arms... (I babysat a lot in high school, I'm not yet a mother) The beauty of the world...as trite as that sounds. And so much more that I can't think of at the moment.

I'm grateful for forums like this one and others I frequent when I am waiting for my downloads to finish so that I can keep procrastinating in order to live up to my middle name.

Simple: My wife.
Furthering, my job is great, I have no kids to worry about, a nice (in the catagory of "can't complain", not the catagory of palace or plush before anyone gets too many ideas that I'm rich!) house, some good friends, and a degree. I'm happy!

Actually - I just had another thought about something I am very grateful for - the person that stopped me commiing suicide at about age 11 and the one who stopped me again at about age 13. I didn't have a great childhood but I'm now so grateful that I'm still here!

There are far to many things that I am grateful for or that make my soul smile to mention here, but always number one at the top of my list would be my kids. And my family, their health, bender, sunsets, shooting stars, rainbows, a belly laugh, my dog, good company and caring friends.
etc etc etc
