Who all is sick here?
OMG- just about everyone I know is sick.
I have a nasty cough, my son same thing but with an ear infection and fever My brother has mono and has not taken care of himself- he may have gallstones- went in for an ultrasound today His wife and son have ear infections......... Their son's school even had to cancel school tomorrow because practically every kid is sick and they just want them to get better. Every clinic in town is swamped and I heard that 50% of Wa. state is sick. What is going on? |

It is "The Stand" Captain Tripps, the Superflu. Thanks to Stphen King. Not sick yet got my flu shhot early and maybe it is because I work in an Elem. School and are exposed to the little hot zones all day and have become a carrier instead of one of the infected. It is going to get me probably on Christmas break not when now when I have to work and could use my sick days.

Well, I don't have a cold, but I did catch a bug from something I ate. I've had terrible stomach cramps, diarreha, and absolutely no appetite since Monday.
I'll trade you for your cough. lol

I've been sick on and off. Had the flu for about 3 days, which sucked... but now I'm getting bad headaches and ear aches more often. (Mainly cus I don't wear anything over my ears when it's cold.. it's my own fault on that one). I think when I feel like ass I make other's around me feel like ass too... a very bad thing this time of year, but it is THAT time of year when everyone is and gets sick.
Tis the season

everyone is getting sick this year. apparantly this is going to be one of the WORST years for the flu (VERY contagious). and some people don't realize that the flu can kill you, and it already has killed many people. although its usually the very young and the very old that are affected the worst. everywhere around where i live is completley out of the flu vaccine, and has been for almost a month now. its in high demand now...i sense riots! more and more people are getting sick, (including me) and theres nothing we can do about it...stay away from us, we'll infect you all!! (but hopefully not, because its no fun)
but anyways, if theres anywhere around you that still has the vaccine, i suggest that you go and get it now, because its spreading pretty fast, and i don't want anyone to get sick, like me...good luck!

I usually don't get sick- it's the MomShield, but this season has gotten the best of me. When I get sick, i get SICK.
Just remember- go see your Dr. if it lasts more than a week, a fever for longer than 24 hours, or earaches. Take your Vitamin C and Echinecea. Flu shots are wise too- I haven't had mine yet, obviously.

Well, down here we had a terrible cold thing going around several months ago. Lasted about a month (not just for me, for everyone who got it). Had the nose thing, the headaches, and a very...uh..."productive"... caugh. It was horrible, and took a few days to really start to be a pain.., lasted 2-3 weeks with the nose and everything, and another 2-4 weeks with the caughing. Landed my brother down with pneumonia (not like we get rain or cold or anything here that could have been the cause). I was at home, and since my mom was a nurse, every time id caugh shed come running over and want to listen to my lungs...
Anyway, that was our big cold thing...so not too many of us are sick down here yet. Though there is a minor cold going around (which i got)...just a stuffy nose...that pretty much it. So there might be a lot of us sick...and im just not noticing, cause the symptoms are pretty minor.

I live in West Michigan, I've noticed nobody being sick, and I see lots of people where I work. I was going to wait until my daughter's checkup on Monday to get her a flu shot, now apparently they are all out of vaccine.
Maybe I can sell fake vaccine and make some serious $. |

I think mine is more fatigue and exhaustion than sickness. I didnt sleep for over 48hours earlier this week and my body just shut down for a day and i felt like shit. I have been really weak since. damn term projects.

The funniest thing about the flu shot it...they missed the important strain this year. The bug that is infecting everyone is NOT one that the flu shot will protect you against last I heard. While the vaccine itself will give you some general defense against the virus, its not total protection like it usually is. Not much sickness in chicago yet it seems, but I'm sure it's coming. Glad I am retiring to a small town for the next 4 weeks. Course, I work in a pharmacy there so if anyone gets sick, theres a good chance I'll be exposed.
Nuts.
