An old friend of mine died this week
An old friend of mine died this past week. Like so many kids just getting out in life under the age of 30, died in a car wreck.
lost control and died.. i don't have the details as of how he met his end. as in if he died instantly or died at a medical facility. the thing that makes me angry is the dad. My friends parents were split for a long time now. the friend was around 25ish, and was prepaired to be moved here where i live in louisiana. the dad turns into a total dick by refusing the body transfer. now everything is held off till DEC. 3. so my firend is stuck in a freezer in a town he never lived in until a court hearing to see what happens. sigh. all of my friends.. friends and realitives live here where i live.. save his loser dad. he lived in NC. I have yet to see the mom. cuz im letting her greif play through a bit before i make a presence to her. although if i see the dad i might make a scene unlike a mortal has seen in ages. sigh yeah well the thing is. he used to be a bud of mine back in the day. like all things.. times change.. i expaned the world view of mine and moved around the country alot. lost touch. talked to him again. lost touch. talked to his mom a few months ago and told her next time he was in, (this holiday) i'd come a knocking. seems there are time in your life you never get that chance. a missed encounter that you will never make.

oh one way or another it will.. the main point in sticking with is this.. his body is an empty shell.. that that was good, bad, wonderful, and sad that made up the existance of my friend is somewhen now.
see. the reason why we get the body or earthly remains is to honor the person's memory and have a type of "closure" heh and i owed him 10 bucks.. i think after its all over ill laminate 10 bucks and afix it to his tombstone. eh.. my way of saying goodbye.

Wow, im so sorry man. I know it sucks to deal with a friends death, but that dad seems like such an asshole. It boogles my mind how he can be so selfish and retarded....argh! It's makes me so mad when people act this way.
That $10 bill idea seems like a cool way to remember your friend. Just make sure you afix it so no one can steal it...some people just have no respect.

Its good to see you have a healthy attitude about the death of your friend. The body is just a shell. Its the memory that is important. Honor your friends memory in a way that true.

I'm really sorry. Having been there recently with my brother's death, let me offer a piece of advice: you don't have to wait to talk to his mom. Right now she probably really needs to hear from people who knew her son, needs to know that there are people who remember him, people whose lives he touched. Waiting isn't going to make it any easier for her, and you might forget or lose touch again, or the impulse to comfort her might just fade. And if the boy's dad is being an ass she probably needs people that much more right now.

For all you know the he can't make it to heaven until he is burried. No one knows what happens when we die cause it is hard to communicate. Or maybe it is really easy but no one wants to. Expand you mind.
As for your friend, I am really sorry to hear that. It does teach a lesson to us all though. How many times do we have to be taught that though? I don't know how much it's worth. Really sorry.
