Black Friday - buy now, save later
Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, the first day of the year many retail stores actually go into the black for the year. Usually there are tons of sales on that Friday, only good for a few hours, usually only in the very early morning hours. Since most stores have a price protection policy if one knew what to buy in advance at full price and then go to the store on that Friday morning during the sale hours, one could save a bundle and sleep in. Well, now you know what those items are.

you can simply curb your desire to be a part of the teeming masses and give us sorry monkeys in retail hell a damn break this upcoming weekend.

no offence, but if people stop buying stuff, and our economies all crash, is'nt that a bad thing- not that I love wal-mart or anything, but small buisiness needs all the help it can get (I Know)

Ditto. On the rare occasion that I actually go shopping, I prefer to do so in a comfortable environment, as opposed to pushing my way through seas of people teeming with "holiday spirit". I've got plenty of other ways to test my athletic abilities and waste what little money I've got remaining.

Well, I can tell you this:
The list of items given for Target misses a couple of deals. I work at a Target DC, and I personally received (received= my sorry ass unloaded the trucks and palletized the merchandise.) two of the products we'll be selling specially priced on the two day sale after turkey day. I'm not going to attempt to lose my job, since we all know that it's happend from posting info one should not. But, I did personally unload 3200 of one item, and about 2500 of the other item. They were most certainly NOT on the list. We actually do have codewords for the two products. I thought it was silly, still do. However, I guess it worked well enough, as evidenced by the absence of the items on the "secret list." I don't see why the one item is selling for Chirstmas, it seems more like a back to school present to me; but, the other one makes a damn good present. Maybe I'll go myself.

I never go shopping on Black Friday. I hang out with my family.
I can usually get about 90% of my shopping done online.
