Decide my fate
It's 6:30AM and I have a Political Science exam at 11AM. Should I forget about sleep and go in caffeinated, or sleep for 3 hours and go in tired? What's the best way to handle this situation? Keeping in mind I have 2 other classes to deal with today.

If you can't get off at least 4 hours of sleep and have half an hour to shake off drowsiness, I would go with the caffeine
Also I hear swimming in a shark-tank does wonders to wake a person up :) |
I'd go with the caffeine too, 3 hours sleep could make you wake up feeling worse....
|
Kinda agree, but should sleep at least for 30 min, it'ss help recharge your brain.
|
You should have thought about it last night.... and got a good nights rest.
|
according to my psych class sleeping is the way of the brain not only doing sytem checks but also cataloging your memory. if you got the sleep you might remeber it better. caffeine on the other hand alo helps you learn better but can put you in an edgy mode.
|
By not getting sleep I'd say you pretty much decided your fate already, so now it's only about damage limitation.
Caffiene. Definitely. 3 hours sleep does evil things to you - like maim. |
Take your nap, then have a can of Red bull, and you'll be good to go!
|
Thanks for the suggestions, folks. I decided just to stick with it for a few more hours, study a bit more, then take the exam. It worked - got an A, but if it wasn't a bloody hard, long test. My handwriting was almost completely illegible by the end.

congratulations!!
A´s are always awesome!! (like my alliteration?) well done. i find it hard to concentrate in an exam or test without a good sleep beforehand. everytime i´ve thought it was a great idea to study throughout the night before tests, i´ve ended up falling asleep anyway, and then sleeping in late. |
now for a more important fate.... sorry Ratso, but your gonna die just like the rest of us.
