Help me think of an idea!

Hey guys, i'm in dire need for a business idea so that i can make a business plan out of it for one of my university courses.

I'm probably planning to do a service business but i can't seem to think of any! neither can my group.

If anyone have any superb suggestions that woudl be greatly appreciated, thx

one word: welding.

if your good at stick or tig welding and have a little business sense you can write your own ticket...

wether this helps you in your class, I dunno, but its something to consider.

something else to consider, funeral homes will never go away because people will never stop dying....

the bad thing about it is, we need something that's innovative, so that it's either a new twist to an idea, or something completely new

hm... i like that funeral home idea, maybe i can think of a new service related to that

SHEER GENIUS!!! I can't tell you how many times' I'd have been delighted to attend a drive-through wake!!! Imagine, you place your order at the speaker, "I'm here for the Smith Funeral." The solemn-faced attendants roll the casket up to the window, you drive up, cry a little, and you're outta there! I LOVE it!

There is a drive thru funeral home in pensacola, google it.

Staying with funerals, why not a skyscraper grave yard. holds 10x as many people as the largest cemetery and only takes up one block of the city...

this is a great idea.
i mean, cemeteries take up so much space... and due to this, plots are getting more and more expensive.

this fantastic idea not only caps the price of a funeral plot, but it leaves more place for bowling alleys and ice rinks...

cybermike, you are a genius.

I have no figures to back this up, but I dont think a skyscraper graveyard is really cost effective....

Let's see, my area has a lot of weird businesses -- they're not completely new, but maybe they've not been thought of in your area.

* 24-hour laundromat/coffee house/Internet access

* Food store with fresh-cooked/fresh-frozen entrees side dishes available for you to take home, heat, and eat. You just pick 'em out of the freezer -- main dish, 1 side dish, another side dish -- to make the dinner you want. This business actually worked for a number of years, but she eventually went into catering. We actually built a thanksgiving dinner out of her dishes once, and it was great.

* How about a fast-food Chinese restaurant called "Chowmania" aimed at Anglo teenagers. Chow Mein and Fried rice served in over-large drink cups (heavy on the meat and egg, light on the bean sprouts), big egg rolls, large and over-sweetened soft drinks, orange lights, purple walls, and techno background music. All right, I made that one up.

* Mobile bike mechanics who make housecalls. Maybe run it as a coop with a central dispatcher who sends bike repairmen out to people's houses to fix bikes. Of course, they arrive on bike, towing their tools behind them in a trailer or in a backpack.

I say make a business that sells luxury toilets. I am not talking about those little sing to you and spray your ass toilets. I am talking custom built toilets that have cupholders, television, stereo, magazine racks all built into em.

They already have mobile mechanics in england...

you can call them and they drive a van out to your place and *can* fix your car on site, although its not always feasible to do so...

Yeah, but your tenants don't give you any trouble, and will never ask to break their lease.

Let's see.....

Do it yourself crematorium? Fun for the whole family!

Oh, wait! One of those cryogenic containment places..... but with a restaurant! They'll wheel out your loved one in a tank to sit with you while you dine!

This is my problem. I have lots of ideas. Just none of them are sane....
