Your Public Toilet Selection Algorithm
 

This is probably a nonsense topic, but i'll put it here for now.

Anyway, when you go to a public toilet with multiple stalls, urinals or also (for guys) if there's just one big one, which one or position do you normally choose first.

Just for example sake, theres basically 3 options or states

closest(1) middle(2) furthest(3)


I normally go to the closest position availble for me, so yeah in normally go for the first option, closest to the door or the hand basin.

What about yourself?

hmm good point bonbonbox, but assume that all toilets are clean or satisfactory.

for urinals i go for the furthest, assuming no others are in use. otherwise i seek the urinal for which the distance between me and the closest man to me is at a maximum.

for stalls i select the middle (regardless of which are in use), because i know that most people pick the ends and i want the one with the least use.

I usually take the second or third from the furthest, since so many of you people go for the furthest one. If anyone else is there, I'll move as necessary to ensure at least a 1-urinal gap.

Hmm... I'm pretty random really. If the door to the room is open, I'll take one to where I dont' think people outside can see me. I just don't like the idea of someone watching me take a leak. I also will go to the one that was flushed since its last use. Oh! If there are Urinal Walls, then I just pick whatever. My Campus has Urinal walls.. Damn its great! Is it so hard to install a few panes of metal along the walls?

As for the toilet? First I look for one that is not in use.. Then I look for a clean one. When found, I do my duty to mother nature. :)

Hmmm.... urinal selection for me is pretty random. Just as long as no one's using an adjacent one (if it can be avoided). That would just be weird.

I just go for whichever has the biggest gap between other people, and if its all empty I will go for either end, never the middle.

You have to follow the urinal codes...you NEVER take the urinal next to someone else, unless it's an absolute emergency (this is forgiveable...the person next to you can usually tell by the sound). Also, if there's only 3 urinals, never take the middle one. You then have control over the whole line.

Stalls aren't that big of a deal; I usually go for whichever has a door that actually locks.

And to answer your question, I usually go to the farthest one...don't know why.







Just remember not to ever break the vertical or horizontal plane while at a urinal :)

Usually which ever one appears to be cleanest, without making a point to evaluate each one.

If there are three I go for the furthest one at the end. If there are four I go to the next to furthest one. This of course assumes an unoccupied restroom. If there is someone in there I look for the one furthest from anybody.

Mostly, I don't use public restrooms if I can avoid it. But if I absolutely have to, it has to be the cleanest and supplied with paper. Nothing worse than doing your business then realizing there is nothing to wipe with...

I don't use the stalls on the ends, or the one in the middle. It always seemed to me that those were the ones that got the most ass-traffic, so I shy away from those. I try to use the second stall.

Furthest. I hate the middle and will likely wait for an end one to become free.

I just go.. no selection involved. If they wanna look at me while I pee.. good for them. Look at my weewee!

Ill take the urinal that is furthest away from the nearest man. It is a very personal experience and not something you feel comfortable sharing with a total stranger. Also it might have survival value. When your answering the call of nature (or having sex for that matter) your vulnerable to attack. Therefor it could be copded into our brains that we shoud be alone when toileting or having sex and thus the choice of the furthest urinal/stall from an oother occupant.

When in the bathroom just outside my dormroom, and when I'm using the toilet, I got the middle, because it has my Suicide Girls sticker on the door, so it's mine.
In most other situations I pick an end one farthest from any other guys going to the bathroom.
Luckyly our bathroom only has one urinal so there's never anythin to worry about.

doesnt really matter on a urinal...but i dont use public restrooms for #2

Closest urinal as I dont have to actually touch it so it doesnt really matter.

Furthest stall as I guess it's the least used and therefore probably cleanest - although from what I've read here it seems too many people think like I do!

For urinals I only use them if they have dividers. Other than that I use whatever stall is available unless there is someone taking a dump right next to it.

Cleanest first, and the one farthest away from anyone else.

But I prefer using the stall whenever possible.

Since i don't have a urinal or troth (one big one) in my house, i always find it fun to use the urinals.

I go for the cleanest wich is either the first one or the last one since no one likes the handicap one(last one) and no one likes going in the first for some reason.

I usually go for the closest. If there are others in there ill look for at least a 1 urinal gap. If i have to go next to someone i look for the most anti-social looking guy. I hate when people start talking to me when im trying to pee. bastards do it all the time. as for stalls i just try to find one that doesnt look like the seat needs cleaned off before use. although i wipe it down anyway.
