broken memories ... sad day
For 5 years now, I've worn a necklace that my sister presented to me when I started college. When I was leaving my home in Richmond, VA and leaving for college 750 miles away, I was understandable sad about leaving my home, dog and family. So, my younger sister made a necklace for me out of my dogs tags that I've worn steadily since it was presented to me 5 years ago.
It broke this morning and today has been the first day that the emblem has been seperate from me. It's killing me because my dog died 2 weeks ago from cancer and I wasn't there. Now, I have broken the only icon I have left for him.

aw, I know that you feel the necklace attached you to your family but the real connection is the memories. It's nice to hold on to something but the real connection is inside.

I lost two dogs just months apart and I know it can be an emotional hell. They truly are family. I am sorry for your loss.
*reaches out and hugs tritium* As for your necklass...Perhaps you may take into consideration that the timing of it breaking was in the time frame of your dogs death and you are meant to have them as treasures at no risk of breaking off of your neck and losing one of the tags. Maybe there was a little intervention there to insure that you always have these treasured icons. I hope your heart heals soon. ~Angel~

sorry... i wear a medallion that I've worn since High School. I can count on my one hand how many days I've not worn it. It's a medallion of St. Jude Thaddeaus patron saint of hopeless cases, impossible missions, and policemen. I'm not religious, but it's something that has been with me, so I'm a bit superstitious about it.
Get it fixed if you can.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog, its a really sad thing . I don't know if its of any confort but it's just an object, what's important is what is behing it, that you're never going to loose.
Anyway, have you tried fixing it, is there any way?
