Skipping over the whole will the men in black be coming after me and just focusing on the question of being filthy rich all of a sudden: I'd invest in the Slush Puppy market. Its been a dream of mine ever since I was first introduced to M. Jane.

Seriously though I'd want a small boat, a fast car, a hut tub, computer geek things, and home improvements. The american dream.

I'd definitly keep it.

Spend it in very small amounts.

Wait for the powerball to reach 40million again, and buy 50k worth of tickets.

---no one likes to do paper work, so just keep your individual transactions under $10K, and they are not required to report it...
you can live very nicely off of the interest on a million dollars, which you will have to pay taxes on----Yea, I have dreamed about finding it also...

Didn't Mark Twain write a story about this? "The Man Who Corrupted Hadleyburg." He ruined the town by leaving a bag full of money in the road. So, I'd ignore the bag, because I'd be afraid I'd corrupt my whole town.

I would turn it in, because $1m just showing up one day in my accounting books, bank account, etc would get some sort of attention on me.

Although that amoutn is plenty to live off of for my life time!

There is a great book called A Simple Plan by Scott Smith about some guys who find a million (or thereabouts) it's a damn good read, and will sway a lot of peoples thoughts on this question
