What is on your walls?

What do you have on your walls that you especially like?

I have a baseball mural in my room that takes up a whole wall. The view is from the outfield looking to home plate, and it definitely draws the most comments from friends/visitiors that see my room.

I used to also have a lot of posters and some painting, but lately my walls have become quite bare. I have two prints of Henri Rousseau, but other than that just boring old wallpaper.

What's on your wall(s)?

I've got a large painting the my father-in-law brought back from Germany back in something like 1970 or so when he was stationed there for a while. It's a fall scene from a lake surrounded by pine and deciduous trees and a stream with rapids flowing from it. I've tried to find out about the painter but haven't found much. It's SPEIER all in caps with a line underneath. I love it. Also have several pencil, pastel drawings of birds on another wall, One each of goldfinch, bluebird, morning dove and an all blue bird that I just blanked out on the name. Hubby's got the bedroom to himself pretty much - Has 5 pics of Earnhart, a framed newpaper front page with him after he died (in the hall), a replica scaled down car hood of #3 and one large #3 throw that I fixed to hang on the wall.

Daval,
I just got a girlfriend and right now I'm looking at framed posters of vintage Vogue magazine covers and Winnie the Pooh. If I slip her a ring I think the room will end up pink.

Lets see...
A big poster with a caribbean feel that says "relax"
Two smaller posters, one with medieval paintings, and another with Anne Geddes babies dressed as angels
The wall next to that has a huge Two Towers poster, and a bullitin board
My roomate has a couple random Christianish posters on her side of the room
And then I have two really small posters of a kitten, and one of a tiger
And next to that another Anne Geddes poster with babies as butterflies.
I think that about covers it
I probably have more at home, but I can't think of them now.

My walls are pretty bare. They aren't even painted. My room was built for me when I was about 14 in the basement, and I haven't gotten around to painting it yet. Yes, almost five years. I painted one wall, ran out of paint, and said "I'll go get some more tomorrow." I never did, and probably never will. My brother gets the room when I move out (hopefully within the next year), so I'll let him paint it when he gets there.

I'm a lazy, lazy man.

I have a bulletin board to the right of my computer that I stick stuff on. Mainly comic strips I laughed at and small newspaper articles.

The living room - two framed Kandinsky prints, three pottery casts of birds, the wedding portrait of my wife, a painting of an old antique barn painted by my Dad, wainscot over the fireplace.

The steps - three paintings of Venice, Italy by Dad.

The bedroom - A huge gold framed mirror, a print of a Grecian urn.

Hallway, various pics of the kids.

The playroom - Murals of Hewey, Duey and Louie, Goofy, Pluto, Simba, Puumba, Timone, Daisy Duck, Mickey Mouse dressed as a cowboy on a horse.

Green room/office - framed Georgia O'keefe print, antique gold framed mirror.

Dining room - Wainscot below chair rail with dark floral wallpaper in the frames, some huge floral framed print.

Kitchen - a huge disc, probably 3.5 feet across, black with some gold paisley things, hanging in a 4 x 4 insert built into the wall. (If you stand in the right place, it bounces the sound of your voice back to you. Weird, especially if you've caught a buzz)

Framed posters of Salvidor Dali's Metamorphosis of Narcissus, Soft Watch at the Moment of First Explosion, Idylle Atomique et Uranique Melacolique, and Apparition of Face and Fruit Dish on a Beach. Also, soon, a framed poster of a work by MC Escher which I don't know the title of.

At home I have a signed and framed picture of Tony Amonte on ice, a signed and framed picture of Wil Wheaton, a metal street sign that says something along the lines of "Hawks parking only, all others will be slashed," I think a few other things, and on the cieling a very very large poster of the Enterprise-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation which a friend of my brothers gave me probably about 7 years ago or so.
