Now... Should I be happy or disgusted?

I was crazy hungry so I decided to order pizza for pick-up at my local pizza place. I usually order from Papa John's but I just decided to order at this place for the hell of it.
I ordered a thin crust pizza with sausage...

Uhhh...

I thought they were going to sprinkle some pieces of sausage onto the pizza, but apparently that's not what they do.

Now, am I supposed to be happy that there is so much good meat on this pizza, or am I supposed to be disgusted at the amount of grease that this pizza holds?

I just finished my second slice, and I don't think I can take it anymore.

I once got a pizza with whole meatballs on it ...

like the man said, don't worry; be happy...

most chain pizza places don't give you enough meat to sink your teeth into, and you can always sop up the grease with a paper napkin...

The_Dude 04-23-2003 01:41 PM

be happy and next time order from papa john's

Ransom342 04-23-2003 01:44 PM

Sprinkle Parmasean cheese on it, it will soak up the grease and add some flavor!

Just sop up the greast with a paper towel - If the paper goes clear, its your window to weight gain.

Suck it up and enjoy it. I personally don't like lots of sausage on sausage pizza, but if that's what you've got just go with the flow ;) Look on the bright side, at least now you know whether or not to order from them again.

Keep some Boboli crusts in the fridge and dress them up any way you want.

Boner 04-23-2003 03:27 PM

Just look at the grease and imagine it flowing through your arteries :D

I have a gift for ruining meals.

Back in college I ordered a pizza that had grease pooled up in the corners of the box. I sent that sucker back.

Better too much than not enough.
Take off what you don't want!

Most meats on pizza are oily - pepperoni, sausage, salami (my fave) so once these are heated, yeah, the oils come out. I have no idea why they dont try to get rid if some of it prior to cooking the pizza, but hey.....its a pizza joint.

So if its getting to be too much, well, dont make yourself SICK! In fact, you'd probably get a laugh if you order another one and ask for less...!

I would be outraged. Are they whole sausages? Grab one of those suckers and beat someone down with it. You'll feel much better.

homerhop 04-23-2003 03:38 PM

Post the meat to your local PETA rep and get them to protest

World's King 04-23-2003 03:43 PM

Just down it.

It will be okay as long as you have Rolaids.

That, and maybe make sure you go to the gym regularly for a while :p

sierra2774 04-23-2003 03:56 PM

Just pick off all the sausage and cheese....It will be good then.

louiedog 04-23-2003 04:44 PM

I dunno, I don't have that problem. Since I was 5 I've never liked anything but veggies on pizza. I'd eat pepperoni once in awhile or if that's all there was, but nothing beats veggies on top.

Binder 04-23-2003 04:52 PM

just hold it up at an angle and let the grease run off of it. i love a pizza that way.

pazza 04-23-2003 04:53 PM

well its too late to do anything now, but now youve learnt that change brings pain

Lebell 04-23-2003 04:58 PM

Eat a rolaids FIRST and then one AFTER.

And then hope your heart doesn't explode.

But other than that, just enjoy!

Be an true American. Sue em!

TaLoN 04-23-2003 05:03 PM

The more meat the better!!!!!!

sapiens 04-23-2003 05:25 PM

I would say sop it up with paper towels. That's what I usually do with greasy pizza. You might try draining off, freezing it, and spreading it on toast in the morning. But seriously, I have heard of people saving grease/fat to season sauces, etc.

dreamstate 04-23-2003 08:28 PM

The grease really gets to me too. I ordered double cheeze from a new place one time.. they must have used the whole bin. I swear I could have done an oil change on my car.
