Ebay question/Problem.
I played a game a while back called Dark Age of Camelot. I quit playing, sold the accounts on Ebay. Sounds normal, right? Well, kinda.
I listed the account for 5 days. I strictly posted it for buyouts only, with no reserve. A guy bought me out for 150 bucks. Sweet! I get an email today, stating that a guy won my auction for 1.25. He sent the money, I sent him an email, telling him I made an honest mistake, selling the account and forgetting to delist it. Immidetly I returned him 1.25 via paypal. WIth a note teling him for for the inconvience. At the bottom of the auction, I clearly stated that if someone bid on it, that they woulden't win anything. I'm not sure if that matters. What can he do? I've done all I can do, the product is long gone. I refunded him his money. It actully cost me 1.04 to refund it through paypals fees. Not really sure what to do or say, I'm not about to get into a fight with him and ebay over a dollar and 25 cents. |

well, if i was the buyer i wouldnt see it as worth it to cause hassle over 1.25 and i'm pretty sure the guy wouldnt do that either.

he probably wont make that big of a deal, he thought he was getting something worth lots for a little, finding out that it was to good to be true probably won't be that much of a surprize

You don't have credit card details on ebay do you? If so watch they don't try and suck money out of your account for it. Hear about that happening a lot Mortius

I wouldn't worry about it. A friend of mine had a nonselling seller a while back and he contacted eBay about it. He had all the emails between them, lots of proof. It was an auction for about ten dollars and eBay told him to contact the attorney general in New Jersey (where the seller was from) or leave negative feedback. What a joke. I bet they still got their auction fees though.
