So...I'm on contract where I work. My boss had assured me there was a new position for me, and not to worry. But my contract was set to expire soon, so I went into HR to find out the exact end date, asking for a copy of my "current contract." I was very surprised to discover that my "current contract" was for the new position at the new salary, effective the 1st of July. But...1 year instead of the 2 we'd discussed (and 2 years would have entitled me to additional benefits), and where I'm supposed to sign the contract, my boss did. Plus, last I heard from my boss (Monday) my "updated job description" (which at one point I was told was required before the contract could be signed) was still being worked on.

I'm torn between pissed off and relieved. Anyone want to lean me more in one direction or the other?
