B.S. in I.T. from Central Michigan University.

I am applying for grad school at The University of Michigan, Flint for the M.S in Information Systems. I just need to write a final draft for the purpose statement and get a teacher or professor to write a academic letter of recommendation.

Ratman 09-25-2007 04:28 PM

I'm starting the University of Birmingham Masters of Applied Linguistics ODL next week. WooHoo!

Jenna 09-25-2007 04:54 PM

Starting off at a technical college here in Wisconsin, MATC. Going there for 2 years then transferring to hopefully University of Minnesota and majoring in graphic design.

Or any good art school in the midwest for that matter.

Still the same as on the other page, but I graduate at 2pm on Saturday. Finally.

genuinegirly 05-16-2008 08:57 PM

Graduating from UC Berkeley Sunday.
It's a good school.

Fair warning: don't go, unless you're willing to risk going insane from the pressure. (if you're studying a science).

I'm starting at Trident Technical College in a few months for a year or two, then transferring over to either Savannah College of Art and Design or College of Charleston.

blahblah454 05-17-2008 06:34 AM

Just graduated from S.A.I.T. 2 weeks ago.

Diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology.

Depending on where it can take my career I might go down to the states in a few years and upgrade to my Petroleum Engineering Degree (certified eng. by APEGGA)

snowy 05-17-2008 07:32 AM

Man, all the people on semesters are graduating! Since I'm on quarters, I don't graduate until June--commencement is the 15th, but I probably won't get my actual diploma until July, because I am NOT sitting in the hot sun for three hours to get a piece of paper and watch 3000 other people get theirs. Oregon State University has commencement in the football stadium, and the graduates don't get any cover.

grumpyolddude 05-17-2008 07:47 AM

I did a year at the University of Detroit, but health issues caused me to drop enough credits to lose my scholarship. I studied economics and accounting, carried a 3.75 (of 4) GPA, and HATED it!
Transferred to Macomb County Community College. Studied music theory, creative writing, acting... loved it, but couldn't pursue those seriously at the time.

Atreides88 05-17-2008 02:39 PM

Currently attending the Virginia Military Institute, pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a commission into the United States Navy.

SSJTWIZTA 05-17-2008 02:55 PM

Bah, I feel stupid.

I never went to college. well' i never enrolled in college. i did this thing where i stayed at my dearest' friends apartment while they all went to FSU. they might as well have adopted me for two years.

Oh yeah...The parties we had, the shit we destroyed, and the laws we broke. I'll miss those days.

filtherton 05-17-2008 03:01 PM

I've got a year left on a BSME at the University of Minnesota. Took my last pair of finals before break today.

Working on the 8 year bachelor's degree, which is how you do it if you need to make up for all the math you didn't learn in the Minneapolis public schools.

guy44 05-17-2008 03:04 PM

I attended Grinnell College in Iowa for undergrad.

This August I will be attending the Heinz School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University for a masters degree.

Still plenty of time. I didn't go back till I was 30.

I went to a local community college for my Associates in Nursing. It met my criteria...fast, local and cheap.
I've been on the fence lately about getting a BA or masters. Not sure if I want to get into management.

levite 05-17-2008 04:28 PM

I was accepted in the Master of Science Computer Information Systems program back in November 07 and I am on my second semester as a grad student. I find the courses to be rather dull and not as interesting as I thought it would be.

PonyPotato 05-20-2008 10:31 AM

B.S. in Anthropological Sciences (Anthropology with more science and less theory) from The Ohio State University. I finished classes in March, get my piece of paper in June.

I plan on going back for at least a master's degree, but I'm still not sure what/where/when. I'm working for a consulting firm at the moment and might make it into a career, but I've also been thinking about Vet School. Not sure I want to commit to at least FOUR more years, though!

B.A. English, 2001, Southern Illinois University.

Word of advice--don't get a liberal arts degree just because the girls are good looking.

Speed_Gibson 03-07-2009 09:29 PM

Graduated from ITT Technical Institute in Portland back in April '02 with an Associates Degree in IT stuff - of course this degree has been applied to direct health care x3, and cooking now.

Grancey 03-07-2009 11:16 PM

B.A. in English, Auburn University. Minor in Anthropology. Long, long time ago.....
I took a Geography class with Bo and Lionel. They came to class and took their own tests. I started off in a class with Kevin Greene, but he disappeared.
Those were the days.

A word to the wise about distance learning... I'm an ex-pat teaching English in Asia. I started the Applied Linguistics Masters at University of Birmingham (UK) last year. It is fully accredited and accepted as a legitimate degree by many Ministries of Education throughout the world, even though it is by distance.

Lately, there have been many postings to the ex-pat community websites about pushback from all Uni's, especially private ones, that they aren't hiring anyone with a distance degree. With this in mind I am switching to Temple University Japan for a M.S. Ed.. It is a brick and mortar campus, and is accepted without question everywhere.

If you're thinking about a distance degree, find out how much of an asset it will be before you put your hard-earned money on the line!

Turpis 03-08-2009 01:38 PM
